Just checked prices have gone up since we bboked but still out £44 back £48 if you pick the right times, most expensive is £59 each way, but you save well over an hour on travel time and it is 25 minutes closer than dover and 15 minutes closer to Le mans the other end, so use the tunnel and get down there almost 2 hours quicker than the ferries

I'm going Pompey - Le Havre on the Vomit Commet, yes it's dearer, but a whole lot shorter drive both this side and in France for me, and with the price of fuel these days it's not a lot different total cost wise. And no Rouen chaos

It has never clashed with the 24 Hours of LM, but did clash with the Sunday of the Classic in 2008 and attracted almost 11 million visitors over 10 days. In 2013 it will be held 6-16 June, so plan B may well apply. |

Hope no one has booked Sea france for this year, french liquidator was called in today so with one less operator on the dover calais route prices will very likely go up soon

Hopefully the press coverage of their woes over several months will have alerted people to the risk of booking SF.

That's sad, SF ferries are always a much nicer place to be than P&O.
