I will be watching it too, Wrex.
What are the chances of there being ex-F1 or possibly even current F1 drivers in the series? For instance, I believe there are 25 teams, each representing a country. So what if Hungary can't find a driver and Zsolt Baumgartner is available after the F1 season? Do they go for him? and what about test drivers? Israel-Geriatric Channock Nissany? |

I'm also looking forward to it. Let's hope it gets off the ground. Although billed as a winter series, it will still keep F1 somewhat honest, particularly if it provides some real racing. I love the idea of dropping all the driving aid gizmos and lets get back to what racing was meant to be. Right Glen?

Alan Jones is in one of the Australian cars. I thought I heard that Johnny Herbert was going to have a go in one of the UK cars as well.

Errr, I think you will find AJ is a co-owner of the franchise. Having seen old AJ at the airport recently, I dont think he'll be sqeezing into too many race cars.

AJ struggled to get his backside into a Williams when he was fit enough to win a WDC.
maybe if they make a two seater A1 GP car where two 'normal' size pilots would fit side by side, Alan might be a chance. One butt cheek for each seat. In all seriousness. Alan is racing in some Masters series for 35-59 year olds at some point in the future. He wont be in that series for long though, as he is 58 now ! |

That "Masters" series has been quietly abandoned, as I recall.
