Simon is scaring away potential investors, they are not selling many notes or warranties, so they have hired Rodney to run the place, in a bid to give potential investors more confidence, the deadline is in 3 days, will it work? : -

Should keep them going until the next deadline 10 days after this one expires.
Farce. Bernie taking a long time to confirm what we all knew in advance. Eventually his agenda will become clear. I'm sure he's known all along what he wants, and is arragning things to ensure he gets it, we just haven't been told what it is yet. What it almost certainly wasn't was a GP at Donington. |

Wheeling in Sir Rodney smacks of desperation. There is little trust in Gillett and of course if the funding round ultimately fails Sir Rod doesn't get his job.
There's also the other little matter of the £33 million odd profit that will be required just to service interest on the debt. No doubt investors will be wrestling with that too. It should be a fascinating end to the week. |

I think we should spare a thought for all those people who want this to happen but are facing ultimate failure..................................................................
Ok that's enough, back to the thread. |

No doubt that the 'Donington plans fail miserably' headline will be lost in the election fever tomorrow.

I agree it's not a forgone conclusion but I see Bernie as being 'co-opertaive' with Silverstone. The British GP has been around since F1s inception and was the first F1 GP to be held, back in 1950. I don't think he really wants to lose the British GP or the revenue he can get from it, if he did it could be undermining for him and he wouldn't take that risk.
