#8 Toyota seems to have quite a vibration, not as bad as the Porsche earlier however.

Finally got up. Turned on. Lotterer is pushing!
I could do with the hourly update to get me up to speed. Anything I should know about tyres, or stints? |

Well, Porsches and Peugeot are making great progress...
AF Course (yellow) has been leading the red Ferraris... Toyota has looked mortal, and has been passed at times... GT is quite competitive... |

Rossi in the BMW of all cars and drivers chasing the Ferrari 296's right now. I figure AF Corse and WRT would be the top GT3 teams. They got the experience with those cars.

Rossi was good in Bathurst too. He was never a liability, but it looks like he is more or less on-pace, albeit not quite on the level of the top pros.

Ferrari finally gets past the Cadillac. I hear it is on old tyres. Have Ferrari sorted their tyre issues? How have they been warming up the tyres?
Lotterer with a little off again. Pushing... |

How are we looking for Distance or Time?
It is distance:
In the simple projection we see the prediction of number of laps. The number in the brackets is the number of laps if we went to the ten hour limit. So for hour five we are looking for 335 laps (distance) and there is a two lap buffer for that. We are doing well because it is a very green race. This makes the count back slightly easier for the teams. |

It has of course been very green indeed. 2-3 short FCY's only.

I really wish they could make those energy indicators a more permanent thing on the screen....

The standard live feed is pretty good and improved for this year - we have driver times and some other nice stuff, but no energy data: https://live.fiawec.com/en/session_stats They've taken a leaf out of Timing71, but I guess has the advantage that if the feed goes down it doesn't have blank spots. |

The pit time part of the official timing does that too, but I agree the energy stat is a quick way to get the info.

Had to do some work so just trying to stay across things.
Muller zeroing in on the lead Porsche. Are they on equivalent tyres/strategy do we know? As in, is this pure pace? |

I would also appreciate an accounting of the gap between the cars on the screen. Yes I know I can open the timing and scoring, but sometimes I like to keep my eyes on the video.

UPDATED from timing sheet:
It's 335 distance. There are fluctuations deepening on when stops happen - it is just a simple projection and doesn't allow for this. The leader had stopped 14 minutes before the hour. Last edited by Adam43; 2 Mar 2024 at 14:25. Reason: revised with proper data |
