As far as I'm aware Marty Roth is still planning on contesting the Indy 500.
Motegi is up next, and that means that Yasukawa will make his debut for Team Rahal But he'll also have another Rahal teammate. Wonder who it will be...? |

Carpentier would be a good fit if he can work out his contract with Forsythe. Adding canadians and Mexicans will be important for the races in Canada and Mexico in 2005. Last edited by rush1; 23 Mar 2004 at 02:45. |

Forget Carpentier for 2004. He's confirmed as a OWRS driver now. http://www.forsythe-racing.com/index.html for the story.

Am I the only one that heard while watching the ABC telecast from Phoenix, that Eddie Cheever himself will drive a third Cheever car in the Indy 500?

In this morning's Indy Star, Cheever Racing's Managing Director, Max Jones, is quoted as saying that the possibility of a third Cheever car at Indy probably won't happen....but Eddie has been known to change his mind...

Starnews.com is reporting that the drivers were lining up in Phoenix, for a shot at Rahals "new" IRL team. Drivers included Buddy and Jacque Lazier, Giaffone, Victor Meira, and Oriol Servia.
I guess that dispels what I heard awhile back on IMS Radio, about Jacque Lazier getting a team together... I'm alittle confused though, what will happen when Brack returns. Will Rice be out, or will Rahal run a third car? |

We're all confused about Rahal's exact plans. The chances ar ethat whoever gets the ride right now will only be guaranteed it until Brack returns. After that, whoever is performing better will probably keep the drive - unless the incoming guy has more funding.
My choice would be Giaffone or Servia. |

Panther Racing will be entering a third car, and have filed thier entries. They will name the driver at a later date. Patrick and Gordon have also filed enteries.

The third Panther would've probably gone to Meira if he didn't already have the Rahal deal - iot'll probably go to someone from outside, maybe the IPS where Menard has a big interest.
Having Robby Gordon involved again is great news - coupled with John Andretti I expect some NASCAR fans to tune in - let's just hope they get a race they can savour. |
