Rainy days are for "fixing" things..
It's holiday weekend ,and it's been raining and snowing . So I decided to "fix" the traction control on the focus. The t/c can be turned off , but it still stays active until the car reaches 32km/hr.This is a pain during Solo 2 and drag racing because you can't get a good, agressive launch. Most owners just pull the fuse, but you loose the ABS function.
Using a blown fuse , a switch , a fusable link,a soldering iron , and a glue gun, I made my own t/c disconnect that plugs into the t/c fuse .I drilled a hole in the dash and mounted the push button switch. The down side is the the brake,t/c and ABS warning lights come on,but it works great !! I can launch hard ,then hit the switch to get the ABS on again Last edited by fast95pony; 24 May 2004 at 04:31. |
