Augusto Farfus
Augusto Farfus is going to be the next big Brazilian F1 driver. He is dominating the Formula Renault Eurocup, this year and will win that easily, providing no major disasters.

I'd have to agree. As I mentioned in another thread, he's the only driver new to me, who's really caught my attention this year. From a selfish point of view I'd like to see him race British F3 next year (so I get to see more of him), but I'd guess he might end up doing euro F3000. Looks the business to me, very smooth and consistent.

Farfus is the Euro F.Renault title favourite. His contender is the italian Ronnie Quintarelli. And other interesting people are Ryan Briscoe (British or Australian), Cesar Campanico (Portuguese), Esteban Guerrieri (Argentinian) and Fabio Carbone (other Brazilian).
This Sunday at Zolder Farfus abandoned and Quintarelli won the race. Now the Brazilian leads the championship with 96 points followed by the Italian with 66. |
