Thank god they didn't mandate a driver change without also requiring a pitstop.

The strategic move to suplant the California date with a date at Long Beach was really smart. The choice was playing in front of a dozen thousand people at Fontana and hoping to break even on the promotion, or playing in front of 65 thousand people at one of the most anticipated motorsports festivals in the US. The phrase "no brainer" comes to me.
Grand-Am is an ISC aligned company. Does anybody really think that that California is actually losing sleep over this? This opportunity is a godsend for Grand-Am. ISC does not have to waste promotional dollars, more people get to see this growing class of cars and they get to keep the same number of races on the schedule while keeping a race in the second largest media market in the US. _____________ For Nino |

There was a quote from the transcript of the conference which indicated that ISC (or at least someone from there, I forget who) was understanding of the decision.
