juliann should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Racing 59 (Rob) - My post to BM Racer was referring to the PBMW Race Entry Fees - not TTRS regs. PBMW regs are publically available without the need to email Jimmy's dog (Rowan) :-)

I think there is a thread running for TTRS

Julian,

Sorry, I'm referring the the link in post 14 - which definitely demands a password for the TTRS regs in pdf format.

What's Jimmy's dog's email address? woof@e30.... or is it BARC@ no, stop me...

Rob.
Offer still stands to host them on Teamdangerous.com (or robcomptonracing.com or teamairambulance.com)

Hi all,
Alan the reason the marshalls on the Nordschleife have huts is it's a long way back and they practically camp there! I raced there in Sept. and was quite amused to see cars parked by them !
On the subject of Pre 93/PBMW racing. The CTCRC have made provision in their Group One and Pre 93 races for the PBMWs to have their own class. Anyone who wishes to race with us is obviously welcome. as Stacy says it will be interesting to see where we all stand in 12 months' time, but in the meanwhile if what is happening provides a bigger choice/more races for people then hopefully that is going to be beneficial. After all we all know each other and the ambience in our kind of racing is well known in racing circles. We race to enjoy ourselves, both on the track and socially, so lets all get on with it, smile and treat each other with respect, I'm sure that is what will shine through in the end. Looking forward to seeing you all wherever it is in the 2008 season. Celia.

Hi Celia, and well said. I think we all realise that's the majority view. Recent experience has certainly been out of keeping with what we'd all come to expect.

Gregor, Re: the TTRS regulations password, as I understand it the reasoning for passwording early release of them was to see where the interest was coming from - which it did and I could understand the logic.

The last comms have issued the regulations sans password, so I believe that is "old news".

S.

Cheers John, looks like you've put a lot of work into it, so good luck to the PBMW and TTRS guys for '08; look forward to seeing you at Combe.

For full details on The Production BMW, we now have a new website up and running http://www.pbmwc.co.uk

We are also pleased to announce that we already have a full 42 car grid for the first round at Castle Combe on 24th March, and the rest of the season looks like it will continue to host similar big grids

Its really good to read a post like this it just goes to show what can be done when the commitment is there to make the championship a success it makes racing far more enjoyable for spectators like myself.

Hopefully the efforts of all those involved with be rewared with a big crowd for the first meeting at Combe as usually that meeting as far i can remember always been busy.

Roll On Easter i can't wait

Gawd, what is it about the PBMW series that whenever a I see a thread talking about it that I feel the need to comment? Oh I know why.....it is by far one of the nicest, best run series (regardless of under whose auspices it is being run) in the UK racing scene today. (Its only my opinion but seeing as I've not raced in it for 2 years and its still one of the few series I'll make a point of trying to watch) I guess its worth sharing.

Julian, Andy and everyone else have my utmost respect for taking it on on their own and regardless for whatever reasons some people may imply I can only wholeheatedly assume that their reasons are simple - better racing for racing drivers.

As regards Marshalls, again, the series has consistently supported them in every possible way (as all series should IMO) and coupled with rewarding racing thats a good combination I think.

So lets not rake over old ground again and mention it yet again?

I thought we had gone past that little episode and moved on somewhat. By all means comment on it being a good series or whatever as I am sure it is in the same way as Maestro Challenge was (very similiar in some ways actually apart from far cooler cars :-) ), not for all but brilliant for some especially those on a tight budget.

Lets please leave sleeping dogs lie now, both camps have probably said things we maybe regret so now lets draw a line under it as its too close to season start and things can happen on track if this sort of stuff is continued. I know I fell foul of a similiar stupid rumour episode years ago, he said this she said that sort of crap and it cost me a new HotRod race car, these days my cars go considerably faster than a quarter mile oval car and next time it may be someones life!

BTW for what its worth I do agree with you on one thing, they have delivered and good luck to them lets move it on!
