Finlands domestic Championship.
I ve been checking the Championships progress since it was reintroduced a few years back, great to see the Div 1 cars included this year and seems they ve now got strong entries with some fantastic cars and drivers. With Marcus Gronholm soon to be competing the profile of the sport is going to grow tenfold in Finland over the next few months. Would be great to see a few more Finns competing in the ERC, Finnish drivers are always a joy to watch with great financial backing. Only concern is it may be down to uk and finland for potentially the final place on the 2009 ERC calendar.

Gotta admit I think the Finnish round will likely get the nod, you could easily fit it into teh calendar near to Norway and Sweden and that would help costs.
Having said that it wouldnt be too hard to fit ours near to Benelux, or its original date just before the last round in Germany used to be? I am hoping the team can secure it though, with the drivers now starting to compete a bit mroe regularly it might happen. But I think Ireland might also stand a chance as that;s where the cash is coming from!! |
