But being serious, it seems like the GARRA complaints, be it bashing or actually technical criticisms, are dismissed wholly as ignorance or hating of the series by its faithful. I usually catch the races if I'm home and interested in the track, sorry rovals are pretty dull tracks, and kinda follow the series, but it does seem at times the rules can interfere with the flow of a race and of the series. The biggest one, and yes it's becoming a complaint of mine about ALMS as well, is the seemingly increasing number of FCYs and especially the timing. Now the yellow at the end of the Mid-Ohio round, while unfortunate was warranted, but there should be a local yellow for some of the vehicles in sand traps and then cars pulled away from the track (no, not removed from the race but not pulled onto the track surface into traffic). Someone smarter than I am can figure a better way than slow lumbering construction equipment to remove the cars. Another complaint I have is something I was surprised by in the last broadcast. Every car uses the same transmission(?), I understand cost containment but that seems ridiculous. I'm sure the 911 GT3s probably use something else, but having all the other cars (DPs and GTs) all use a standard gearbox? That seems to be one last step before a spec series, and that doesn't bode well for the future of the series fan base, at least for me.

why is it everytime someone gets on here to defend GARRA from the pointless and arguments based on fantasy, they're written off as a "France spokesman" or "Roger edmondson is disguise.' The bashing this series receive on her is dispicable but I've come to accept it as it seems the arrogant, egotistical ACO-driven attitudes are the accepted behavior around here.

Your post illustrates perfectly the ignorance of GARRA racing. Yes, GA is about "NASCAR" style sportscar racing: cost containment, rules containment, and safety first which means no course workers in any dangerous position so we have a lot of FCYs. You don't need to understand it or agree with it but you need to accept it because there's plenty of fans who have and enjoy it. This is the type of racing that works in America and regardless of what you think of NASCAR's downward trend, it's about 30 times what your precious ALMS and ACO gets IN AMERICA and since thats where GA runs, thats all that really matters.

I find it absolutely hilarious that you discount the series because a spec gearbox is mandatory. My god, how obtuse can you be?

If they didn't change anything recently spec gearboxes arent mandatory. Last year teams used EMCO and Xtrac GBs IIRC.
