Karting Championships

I believe the names of the Karting classes in the UK etc has changed over the last year? Either way, i'm confused championships.

Do karts run at the same level as cars? Eg. Club championship level, british, european and then world?

Or are there more than one different championship in each of those?

I know of Rotax Max and Formula TKM, but I'm not sure what KF1 etc mean or stand for.

I think the structure is the same.

As for the KF1's and 2's and Super One.. I dunno.

kf1, 2 and 3 are the old formula A to jica classes they were new this year...class info should be on web somewhere!!

there are quite a few classes throughout the uk some more southern/northern etc, everything starts at club meetings depending where you are in the country, then most classes have a british championship ran mainly by the msa, Stars or the NKRA, if you look in the gold book or on the msa website everything should be explained.
then you have got european events such as rotax, and the kf classes, then international events too, pick up a karting magazine and have a look through you should get the gist or check eurosport sometimes they have european kf racing on

Karting has far too many classes now.

For championships, you have your club championships, just at each circuit once a month. Then you have the friendlier national championships such as NKRA, F6 etc. Then its the main national championships of Super1, Stars of Tomorrow and British Superkart Championship.

Then you have such as the Rotax Max Challenge (i think its called) which has continent championships and then a 1 round world championship. The continent championships for the KF1/2/3 and also Worlds.

As for the new classes
Formula A = KF1
ICA = KF2
JICA = KF3
