yeah Ratel prity much killed the series with the most potential in Europe, the GT2. I mean Corvette could have come over , BMW, Ferrari Porsceh,Aston,Jag, ford, ..... and they were all happy with the rules....... now why would someone decide to change the rules at the peek interest for the championship and make all the other teams run away.......
I see the ACO smiling, countng their money, and going "ahh the young grasshoper" |

Which really, to me, is a problem. Seems a major conflict of interest! Unless the ACO wishes to not have GTs in the LMS, or for that matter, an LMS.

It certainly hasn't been a problem thus far - and he's been a shareholder from the start.
The reality is that the competitors get to choose - it's their money - Hence the CRS decisions this year |

So you think that Ratel had no influence on the obsolesence of GT-1 to introduce his WC GT-1? I find it way to convenient of a coincidence. Also the inclusion of the new WCGT-1 at Le Mans seems rather supportive of it vs. the wish of the mfgs. that build GTs which run in the ACO's sanctioned/guided races!
There is a line from Shakespeare that covers it quite well, having to do with Denmark and rot, IMO. L.P. |

Has anyone got a list of the teams racing in GT1 and GT2 up to now? I can't find any list of the rumours/confirmed anywhere!

Ask the teams that were running 'old rules' GT1s how sustainable they were finding the economics of the class - Entry levels in LMS were never all that impressive despite the draw of LM24 entry potential
GT1 was out of time, out of factory interest and beginning to get out of reach of privateer budgets. Stephane's vision has always focused on a pure GT model for FIA GTs - Would he use his influence to get his GT1s to Le mans - of course he would - but the ACO's interest is rather more likely to have been stimulated by the potential for further Factory interest (and promotion) for their key event than for any other motivation to prop up a GT1 World Championship. |

It remains to be seen whether Nissan have bitten!
The forward plan with Ferrari is pretty well established, same with Porsche and Aston Martin. |

Equipe Verschuur is not confirmed. There were talks early 2009 about a GT project but it has been quiet since. Must admit they will announce a new program in February. Farnbacher and Spyker have not confirmed any program. Although Farnbacher is indeed likely to return with 2 and not 3 cars...but nothing 100% solid. |

Advanced engineering isn´t a rename of AF Corse car?
Related to LMC, I though Boutsen energy confirmed their presence, aren´t they? |
