Lotus Engine simulation
Hi, I downloaded the single cylinder trial version and Im getting to know it. It seems very good, the "concept" tools are very helpful when you dont know something from the engine you want to simulate.
However the soft is a bit expensive ... More for some amateur from this part of the world I created the thread to discuss about the soft here and to get and give help so we can try to understand how the calculations it makes are done in order to verify, lets say... its accuracy? without having to actually test 200 engines |

Well, its been a while since I posted and there were no replies
I invested some time to do the first 3 tutorials from the "getting started" pdf file provided. Thats all you can actually do with the free trial version, as tutorial 4 is how to build multicilinder engines... I was gathering data for a 2L 4 banger but I dont like to make 1000 assumptions later to guess what would happen if we actually had 4 cilinders and a stepped exhaust... So now Im gathering data to model a 125cc kart engine. Im interested in how the power/torque curves changes when I change the exhaust lenght. I`ll post some results when I finish. See ya! |
