Hardman got the bucks from the factory,&, as I remember sold up not long after.

Was Hardman still involved when Jim Richards had a steer at PI? 1995?

I would have thought he did build it, the cages are very similar and from the CAMS cert on the cage only a few months apart?

So I wonder then if Mr Hardman ended up walking away with the cash??

Yes (Hyundai Rally program no less) and it was an incredible feat on his part, I guess there are no wool guards on the Hyundai eyebrows!

But Hyundai left MSD mid-season and copped a fine from the FIA didnt they?

And allegedly failed to pay MSD what was reportedly owed...

Yep... they pulled out with 3 rounds to go, and copped a fine from the FIA for registering in that series and not completing it. The team at MSD were allegedly owed money for car preparation up to the point of departure, and for work on cars for the 3 rounds missed.

Google has a few references to this but none explain what the commercial outcome ended up being. Other than MSD was mortally wounded

Interesting read on the MSD program.... I guess this just confirms why Hyundai hasn't been involved in anything significant here after everything which has happened the past. They seem to be having more success in the States with Mr Millen's exploits in the D1 Series and the PM580 they built for Pikes Peak.
