O/T but I remember Win Percy at a CTCRC bash a few years ago. What a lovely bloke and extremely entertaining.

most of them sing well for their supper... Charles Harbord normally has a very good lunch on the Thursday of Goodwood at the pub round the corner with a guest speaker, last year it was Brian Redman.
It is not happening this year as the publican sadly died.

I do a good after dinner speech on" leech application" but I guess that's not what racing club members are interested in - could even do a demonstration if someone would only volunteer! ..........and no I did NOT train under Flo Nightingale!

The entry list has been circulated with the final instructions, I don't think that Goodwood publishes them anywhere as you might not buy one of their cheap programmes when you arrive.

If you have a specific question - let me know.

And my good news is that the WSM Midget actually survived a couple of race distance sessions at Brands this week so we're now cooking on gas for the Fordwater......(well on V-power actually)

Goodwood has published the 'celeb' drivers and their likely cars, and I can't find anything else. It's a big secret! shh............! don't tell anyone.

You're not risking Oulton Park then - where many a Goodwood dream has been shattered!

I guess it spoils the "surprise". It's the fordwater grid that I'm most interested in.,

I'm not risking anything with the Wussum until qualifying on Friday for the Fordwater. I'm doing the Classic K race at Silverstone this coming Saturday - but in the Elite.

And for Dan Friel, there are lots of Spridget based coupes, 3 Alfa SZs, the two Deep Sanderson 301s, an Ogle SX1000, an Abarth-Fiat and the TR4 SLR. But at the pointy end of the grid look out for Nick Swift in a Mini Dart and Rae Davis in a Mini Jem. Appetite whetted????

I know the Ogle, immaculate road car . . .or at least is was until about a month ago, it had very thick carpets!!! they sort of look like an ugly Rochdale Olympic for vertically challenged people!

It will work.
Based on past few GP's you do practise and he can sort car in race.
Gives perfect result.
At least no one else will know what the two of you are talking about!
Probably turned down that ex superstar B,Williams to get him.

Good stuff. I rate Vitaly. He's come from a background that is a bit leftfield in terms of F1. Hope it goes well for you both.

So, are we all going to have a formal 'meetup'?

Sat pm, Spitfire Café?

Or an informal, free-form 'see you around the paddock' type arrangement?

I won't be going now, too much on with preparing my car for Oulton Park needs complete new dual exhaust system fabricating and converting my Dayvan to Autogas.

Sounds good to me - how does this fit with the racers' schedule?

I think leaving it as a 'see you around' type-thing would work for those that are racing or are GRRC Members (therefore have Paddock access), but if you're not then I think it won't work too well. Although I suppose we could talk over the picket fence!!

I'm a Member so I can get in, but I'd imagine we'd lose a few people if they can't get Paddock access, which would be a shame.
