Motorcross - something different
BECOME AN RHL ACTIVITIES MARSHAL AND WIN A HOLIDAY
RHL Activities, the organiser of three major motocross events in 2009, is offering you the chance win a holiday with its exciting new scheme for volunteer marshals. The events organiser, who will host the Handlebar Festival, British Motocross Grand Prix and Weston Beach Race this year, has devised a new initiative whereby anyone who marshals at an RHL event in 2009 will be entered into a special prize draw. The more events a person marshals at, the more chance they have of winning a superb holiday, as a competition entry will be provided for each event a volunteer assists with. The holiday prize will be drawn at the final event of the 2009 season, the Weston Beach Race. Volunteering for any of RHL's exciting events has many benefits, as in addition to enjoying free camping and entry, marshals also get by far the best view of the racing whilst ensuring the safety of both competitors and spectators. The first of the three events is the Handlebar Festival on the 10th - 12th April 2009 at Hawkstone Park, Shropshire, which plays host to the opening round of the World MX3 Championship. There are still places available to marshal at this spectacular track for the all-new festival that will also include freestyle motocross displays, trials displays, mountain bike racing, minibike racing and much more. The RHL Activities team then moves to the prestigious Motocross Grand Prix of Great Britian, which is being held for the second year running at Mallory Park, Leicestershire, on the 30th and 31st of May. This year the race weekend also includes the British round of the World Supermoto series, along with plenty of live music, off-track entertainment, and not to mention racing from some of the best riders on the planet. The final event of the 2009 season is the Weston Beach Race on the 10th and 11th of October, which will be held over a purpose-built dune course on Weston-super-mare seafront. The race is entering its 27th year, and it's certainly a spectacle with up-to 1,000 competitors racing over a tough, slightly mad track, at any one time. This popular race also includes lots of shopping, trade areas and off-track activities for those who attend. "This new opportunity for Marshals at our events is really about us giving something back to the volunteers that help RHL Activities. Marshals are responsible for ensuring the safety of competitors and spectators at our events, and therefore play a very important role in our racing." "Not only can Marshals take advantage of free camping and free entry, but the more events they help us with, the more likely they are to win a holiday. We are still looking for volunteers for all of our events. The Handlebar Festival is just under two weeks time, so if anyone wants a bigger chance of winning, then they must get in touch with us soon," said Director of RHL Activities, Gareth Hockey. If you've ever considered becoming a marshal at a world-class event then now is your chance. Visit any of the below event websites to download a marshal application form, or if you require additional information then you can contact the RHL team by email at info@rhlactivities.com and by telephone on 01873 840640 or 07812 674249.
