The WEC is too important for Porsche to not have a 991 racing there. So either they beef up Felbermayr to semi-works status again or Manthey stays...imo.

That was my first thought---but maybe they will be happy with their presence in P1 alone?

Hard to imagine that Porsche would not have a works team in a 911 in GTE, though.

Well I was thinking the wec program was Porsche Europe and the USCC program is going to be fronted by Porsche North America.so I figure it wouldn't affect the wec program.

Surely the fact that going racing costs money has to play a factor - not just whether there's enough crew around to run the cars. It's all coming out of the same pot.

I'm not surprised, Ferrari have voiced their displeasure towards the BOP all season long and their Le Mans pace certainly added fuel to the fire.

WEC without AF Corse Ferraris would be a big blow...the class is small enough as is.

I'd take it, if it made the powers that be realize, how stupid that whole Pro/Am split in GTE is... if they were forced to reunify the classes in WEC this idea would almost by default go the way of the dodo.

If the WEC is smart they'll give Ferrari a major BoP break.

And, although I'm sure you didn't realize it, your comment about adding fuel to the fire was rather funny. Think BRAZIL.

Just give them back their fuel tank to what it was. During todays race a lot was said about BMW. They need to be there imo. In a perfect world we would have Pro Vipers and Vettes and Z4s added.

I totally agree, but I think that the FIA is waiting until 2015 to enact the GT3/GTE merger, so it would be more convenient and a better management of time (and money) to do it all at once.
