An enduro for the production cars is probably a good idea. The Easter races is also another option for them if organisers want to try and keep them happy.

Other stuff I'd like to see: - A Webber/Bana/Patrick Dempsey Porsche entry - As Pecky said, a D, E and F seperation from the 12 hour, maybe into a three hour enduro from 5pm-8pm Saturday with other production classes - Some of the V8 drivers to race again (although I hear some V8 team managers are dead against this idea) - Better supports (FFs and Radicals are uninspiring) - Demonstration runs of former Le Mans cars perhaps |

In terms of who gets to race, keep in mind that the Marc Focus and the Daytona were faster than most of the 'b' cars with only 3 out qualifying them.
Race meetings like this need a few other division cars to fill the field, as a full field of GT3 cars only in Aus is very unlikely. The other cars just need to be of a performance standard that ensures that they are able to race without having a significant speed differential to the leaders. Of course I would say that.... |

I don't think they'd have to lose all supports Shane, maybe 1. The Production car guys could have a 1hr practice session on Friday morn, a 1hr Quali session on Fri arvo. Then a 20min warmup around Sat lunch before their 3hr Enduro Sat afternoon

I'm just running the math, this year there was 6.5 hours of track time on the Friday. with the program you put in then We will have used 6 hours (based on this years 12 hour practise)

I might as well add my 2 cents worth in....
1. Keep it at class A,B,C and an invite class for the Marc and Mazda RX8's and other endurance non production specials (The Daytona coup and BMW M3 GTR should be in this class, not exactly production cars) 2. For the production boys a twilight 3 hr enduro on the Saturday arvo would be pretty cool, maybe finish the race by 6, don't forget the flaggies will be out for 3 full days, don't want them finishing at 8 on a Saturday night then expect them to be on track by 5 in the morning... 3. As a couple have already said, would love to see a Webber, Dempsey, Bana factory Porsche team entered, add a bit off Hollywood glitz to the race.... 4. New models including the McLaren 650S GT3, Chev Camaro, Lexus RC F-GT3, Lamborghini Huracan GT3, Cadillac ATS-V, and the new BMW M6.... 5. Not fussed if v8 supercar drivers don't get involved but would be cool if a couple of the v8 teams got involved with some overseas teams, Nissan factory team to bring a second GTR for the Nissan Australia team to field an all aussie assault with factory backing for Rick Kelly, Caruso and Moffat, the second car to be fielded by factory Nissan drivers.... Maybe have have HRT involved with an American factory Camaro/Corvette team for the GM flavour... There is just a couple of my ideas... |

Agree you could probably drop 1 or 2 of the current supports, Improved Production should definitely stay though.

I like the idea of a 3hr Production enduro, but by the time you have practice, qualifying and the race, your talking about 5 hours of track time to fit into the current schedule, which would be close to what all the supports currently get.
If they dropped all, or even two of the current supports, that's a fair bit of money that the promoter has to try and recoup. Someone's going to have to pay for that. |

JAMES DAVISON TO RACE NISSAN GT-R GT3 IN USA
I see James davison is racing a Nissan GTR in the USA, I would like him to race in the 12 hour next year against his cousin in a Merc (and to be honest i would like to see him co drive at the 1000 either this year or next) |

No where near as quick as the GT3s. I think their lap record is around 2:13, but that they haven't had a decent crack at it since resurfacing etc. |

Will be interesting to see which way Erebus goes next year regarding its driver line-ups. Don't think that they would have seen neither of their cars being on the podium as a success and with 1 of their cars most likely having their V8SC drivers aboard, will they go the youngster route again or bring out the gun Internationals ?

My 2 cents worth, there's not alot I would change.
I like the current mix of classes and cars. I'd prefer to have qualifying done by lunchtime on the Saturday, then have an afternoon full of racing. A late-afternoon shootout could work. A 3hr production car race could work, but considering its only a 3-day meeting, you would have to probably cut another support race or two out. I didn't mind the Formula Fords this year, indeed the first race on Saturday morning was a beauty, but it would be good if the support races could match the variety seen in Improved Production and obviously the 12hr itself. I liked the start time, starting somewhere between 5:30-6am period allows for enough night driving to whet the appetite and keep the novelty for the day ahead. |

Couldn't care less about anyone from the V8SC circus showing up. Lowndes is about the only guy worth a drive, but the rest I just see as taking valuable positions that I would rather see world class GT3 drivers in. Give me the likes of Winkelhock (whose opening stint this year was sheer brilliance), Vanthoor, Mies, Ortelli, Mucke, Vilander, Gavin, all the Bentley and Nismo boys, over the overrated taxi drivers any day.

That comment just makes no sense. Rick Kelly and Shane van Gisbergen were two of the quickest drivers last year.
The beauty of the 2014 race for me was local experts in unfamiliar cars teamed/against international drivers who were experts with the car but didn't know the nooks and crannies of Bathurst. Gotz v Lowdnes was the perfect version of this. Would love to see that element return next year, here's hoping V8SCs don't mess it up again. |

I've always been a fan of Lowndes mainly because of his personality and him being keen to do stuff outside of V8s so hope to see him back next year.
