While we're looking at old historic racing pics, and some are wearing their detective hats, can anybody identify which Silverstone event this was? I'm guessing late 80s / early 90s, looks like Summer although with Silverstone one can never be sure, Moss did a demo in a 250F, Jack Sears was driven around in 39 PH along with other demos.
The Lancia appears to have Swedish stripes, if that helps narrow it down. I kept the programmes of the various other meetings I snapped, late 70s through to early 90s, but not this one, grrr... |

Gulf Mirage BRM again, but from JDC Silverstone 4th April 1981. Plus a few others from the same event.
Not the same image quality admittedly, but we are talking glass plate negatives, brass and mahogany Thornton-Pickard and that black cloak wasn't half heavy after a day in the drizzle. |
