ByKolles confirms Spa and LM entries, assuming the races actually happen.

The picture is a bit generic, but it’s decent. Let’s hope we see it and it does well.

GT Pro is my favourite class at Le Mans, and Corvette and Porsche my favourite cars in the class, so this I do not like at all!

Only way to keep that from happening is if either IMSA moves the conflicting date, or allows teams to drop a round from the season score. I doubt that either will happen.
Maybe the ACO, even if they take a hit on overall entry numbers, should keep LM open only to NA entries that aren't full time IMSA entries and focus on WEC/ELMS teams this year. |

I don't think they have any choice but to open the entry back out to fresh teams. There could be some late European-based entries I assume they'd be scrambled quite late due to the uncertainty over if it runs. |

Reserves
#55 Spirit of Race GTE Am - already confirmed in race #4 ByKolles LMP1 - already confirmed in race #17 IDEC Sport LMP2 #20 High Class Racing LMP2 #78 Proton Competition GTE Am #27 Dragonspeed LMP2 #60 Iron Lynx GTE Am #23 Inter Europol Competition LMP2 #89 Team Project 1 GTE Am #96 D'Station Racing GTEAm Those are all credible teams. If their pay drivers have got the budget you would think they would be there if they had a shot. (if the race happens, if travel is possible, if quarantine arrangements are realistic for their team members etc etc) |

If and it is a big IF any events take place in Europe this year i think there will be many teams unwilling or unable to travel.

With the Vettes out that is going to make GTE Pro stink this year. Looks like LMP2 will be the hot class this year.

I don't see anyone in NA taking LM seriously this year. For them it's a non-championship race and having so many races clustered around LM makes it unappealing to do LM, especially given that we don't know how international travel will be handled by US and EU authorities.

Yeah, it will be tough for everyone crossing country lines all year no matter how long the gaps between races. But Vette missing a year after 20 straight is huge but not surprising when I stopped to think about it

If and that’s is a big if Le Mans goes ahead this year and entries continue to pull out for whatever reasons do you think the ACO would consider adding an LMP3 class to fill the grid or just fill it with GTE AM Ferrari’s?

I think the problem won't be finding cars for the race but rather drivers of good quality.

Personally, I think that is a distinct possibility - and for me, a perfectly welcome one. And a massively better idea than padding out the GTEAms....

Well if it happens i suspect they will need to offer places beyond the current reserve list, and i think a few quality lmp3 teams will be a better choice than outdated gte am cars

How long before we get really funky and start adding Renault Spiders like the 1990s?
