Good to join this for the first hour. Yes it's different, yes it's slightly surreal, but it's a lot better than nothing at all - lovely to be able to chat to like minded people and remind ourselves that we can make the best of things.
Hope news of the cat is good Andrew. |

I'm afraid that we forgot or missed to introduce Akrapovic to the usual meeting team.

Great to meet up, especially in such odd times.
I changed my 'name' to forum name - otherwise I can't tell who's who!! Fingers massively crossed for September... Track and Trace needs to work before then.... Enjoying some of the virtual coverage, but it's not quite good enough - there's "something" missing from the whole experience. I mean it is really good and very impressive but... I'd change some of the graphics and alkamel timing systems' efforts always disappoint me - or maybe they see themselves as just serving up the data and it's for someone else to present it? |

Been catching bits here and there. Shame about the technical problems halting the race briefly, but at least it meant Fred and Rubinho could rejoin the race

Despite being a total Le Mans addict and still smarting big time from not being at the real thing again, I've been enthralled by the virtual race, perhaps because I've not made the mistake of constantly comparing it to the real thing or indeed any other sim platform. Like all these things, fans of other platforms will always 'champion' the one they think is best. Pah. It doesn't really matter. It has filled a huge void for me this weekend and for that I'm grateful.

totally agree Andrew, was not a big fan of this but, it has been so much better than i expected and as you said it has filled the void left by the fact that i am not in Le mans at the moment

Sorry I didn't join in on the call. This is a unique time for my wife and I in that we're in the process of moving. Our house is under contract and we're currently living in a very small apartment. With the call starting at 6am and my wife having worked a shift at the hospital the day before I wanted to afford her the opportunity to sleep in rather than hearing me on the zoom call.
I hope everyone had a good time. I'll look forward to the next time we can do it in "real life". |
