What's also worth noting is that typically a sponsor pays in installments during the year, and it may well be the case that for a lot of them that means a payment a month before the first round (i.e. this week). I'd imagine a number of sponsors clawed back original payments made in February/March. It will be interesting to see how many sponsors are still interested and capable of making the required contributions in a much tighter time-frame.

A crying shame.
I'm aware of difficulties at, shall we say, the other end of the grid. Fingers crossed all will turn out OK. |

It really sucks to lose such a good driver from the grid.

A massive shame.
Hopefully someone can step in to fill the 3rd seat. I'd like to see someone up and coming, like a lower league champion, although part of me would love to see Collard step in as he is a known quantity. |

Not to mention he will have already paid a big slab when he signed, that will likely now be forfeit.

Jelley would be a good choice to replace AJ, but I don’t think Team Parker would be too happy losing their only driver

https://www.gov.uk/government/public...ition-guidance Domestic Competition: No Spectators: Domestic sporting competition exclusively involving Elite Athletes, hosted within the UK, where no cross-border travel (from outside the UK & Ireland) is required for the Competition to take place. Access to the Competition will be restricted to individuals with essential functional roles. Looks like a unilateral decision from MSV this is not the latest government guidance, that I have seen anywhere. |

Wouldn't it be better for teams to reduce the cost of the seat rather than having no driver at all and a car going to waste? Obviously there's still time for them to find someone willing to splash the cash but nearer the times I wouldn't be surprised to see a few cheap seats going spare.
