Only 7 GTE Pro cars against 17 last year. And within those 7 only 3 manufacturers (Porsche, Ferrari and Aston Martin) against 6 in 2019 (BMW, Ford, and Corvette missing).

Just seen the WEC entry for Spa and Ginetta's not entered, but Bykolles is there. not sure if this means the ginettas will miss le mans. Spa grid only 31 cars

Only six different engines, given that the Gibson LMP1 and LMP2 are similar. I have never heard this before. Maybe the Porsche Pro and Am exhausts sounds are slightly different.

Maybe not on the Porsche. I saw a video online that hints that the WEC Pro RSRs have reverted back to a rear exit exhaust.

Maybe its a good thread discussion to get people to predict how high in the overall race will the LMP2 winner finish this year? I'll say 3rd behind the 2 Toyotas.

Positions 1-2 Toyota Position 3 Rebellion Oreca (10 laps off) Position 4 winning LMP2 Oreca (15 laps off) Positions 5-20 all of the rest of the Orecas CLM and Ginetta will get stuck in the garage before the night and the second Rebellion screws up somehow like they often do for one of their cars |

I'd say that at least 1 of the LMP2s finishing ahead of the CLM and the Ginetta is pretty likely.
Also one Toyota and one Rebellion not making it to the end is also not an especially far fetched scenario, and that would give you your overall podium place. How much of a betting man (woman/etc) would you have to be to entertain the possibility of an overall win for an LMP2 if both Toyotas have issues/crashes....? |

Makes sense. Go with a driver they know, who is race ready and doesn't cost a lot

Eurasia are expected to name their third driver (replacing Nick Cassidy) on Wednesday- they're expected to be in the car for both Spa and LM

So now let’s see if anyone can upset the applecart against the all conquering Toyotas. We need someone to give them a run for their money

I can't quite decide what I want more, a Kobayashi victory or for both Toyotas to retire early and really blow it wide open...

2020 LM entry list speculation
Quote:
Or how high in the overall classification the GTE Pro winner will finish. Like the early to mid 2000s. In multiple years the GT1 winner finished 4th 5th or 6th. Up til 2008 when the GT1 winner finished outside the top ten. With the speed and reliability of LMP2 these days I don’t see that happening but hey who knows. |
