Looking forward too it. It's been so long I really don't know who to expect to be on pole.

Changes happening already for ticket holders:

I think it's just repeating / re-iterating the guidelines MSV published last week. Grandstands will have "alternate rows closed-off and a minimum two-seat gap required between household groups". As it's all numbered seating, they will need to re-assign some people, or possibly cancel a few seats depending on how many tickets have been sold.

Frankly, I'm surprised the grandstands are even open.

I wonder how many will be allowed in the grandstands? Donington only has about one or two, so you probably won't see that many

Sunday: £29 for an adult entry, £8 for a grandstand seat. Plus you pick your seat whilst booking the ticket, so you can see how spaced out people are. |

I wonder if this is a test event for crowds at race tracks?

It isn't.
It's just Jonathan Palmer thinking he can get some money in by pretending spectators at a BTCC meeting are like visitors to a zoo. (And I suppose he's got a point: it is watching animals through a chain link fence.) |

I don’t know what you mean. I’m sure it has been used somewhere before though knowing the drivers of the past

It's a risky game to play though. Especially if an outbreak gets linked back to it. |

It may be a bit of 'buy now while stocks last' marketing, but MSV are saying they expect Sunday tickets to be sold out prior to Friday.

I think it should be fine. There’ll be enough fans without being silly about it. Everything will be carefully managed and it should be a good meeting whatever. Just so glad the tin tops are back in action

inside the paddock there's at least two organisations that are responsible for each individual - the team and the organisers. outside the paddock everyone is msv's responsibility. dr palmer must be in a really deep pile of poo to want to take on that liability. |

Mr Gow highlighted the difference between paddocks and spectator areas.
Because the paddock is a business area, different rules apply to the public access areas. It's worth remembering that when discussing why visitors to the circuit are permitted in one area compared to another. |

it would be interesting to see what specific research he's basing all this on. still it's going to be great to see people back at the circuit enjoying themselves in decent numbers. i just hope it doesn't prove to be a wrong decision, we've seen what those have done to other businesses and industries. |

Yeah. Really I can understand circuits having different rules on face coverings due to there being different amounts of space. Wonder how many actually require them to be worn for the fans
I see no problem with fans being there, should be plenty of space. It will add to the event and let’s hope for a great meeting |

When Jolly Jeff emerges from his beach-shelter-cum-field-kitchen at the end of race 2, and needs to empty his bladder of cheap own-brand lager into the nearest ditch. Then feels the urge to spend eight quid on some soggy cardboard stuffed between two halves of a stale bap, before returning to recommence the smoke signals floating across Craner Curves. Do you really think he'll take heed of gentle advice to put on his mask and wait 30 mins before the crowd has cleared sufficiently from his route past Hollywood? |
