I thought Jade Edwards was suppose to be in the PMR car? Apologies if i have missed some obvious announcement. Been a busy week!

I wonder if Silverstone will go ahead with the new restrictions being announced shortly.

I expect pubs, restaurants, leisure centres will be closed from midnight Tuesday. Social venues in essence. Public transport for essential use only - school, work, hospital appointments. Everything else broadly as is. But we'll have to wait and see... |

I certainly hope that isn't the case. Maybe 11 o'clock will be the latest pubs will be allowed to operate, but there's no point shutting anything down. Things need to pick up sooner rather than later

I don't think there will be another (total) lockdown (just yet). I think this Covid thing is going to be around us for a good while yet and we literally cannot afford to just keep hiding away from it. We have just got to adjust the way we do things and learn to live with it as safely as possible. This will mean getting used to social distancing, which may result in reduced (maybe completely) spectators at public events. Hygiene (including face coverings) will have to be improved and so on. The World isn't suddenly going to return to how it was in 2019 (for example) but we need to have some sort of workable middle-ground between that and lockdown.

The 10PM curfew that has been lamented in areas where it already exists. So take the doggy for walkies at half 9 and go to bed otherwise the bogeyman will get you. We've got Silverstone to look forward too still |

Should the season be unable to finish its allotted scheduled rounds is there any provision in the regs for the final points table or is it done by order at a particular time?
I'm just thinking if we get a local (or national) lockdown scrubbing the end of the year. Or just some weekends between now and the finals day. |

We've already got a revised calendar, so yes it has already been used. I am sure the racing will continue to go ahead, look forward to Silverstone. Can't see anymore being cancelled at this time. But we'll see. It's already shaping up to be a fascinating rest of season

I really hope it'll go ahead as planned until the finale. I hope another full lockdown won't happen, the economy took a huge hit and doubt anyone affords another.

In today's issue of not-surprising news - No spectators at Croft
https://www.autosport.com/btcc/news/...-fans-at-croft They claim that the decision was made 2 weeks ago but not announced until today, so wasn't as a result of the latest govt changes. |

For what it's worth, Brands have no BOOK TICKETS tab for finals day. Suspect it'll be a TV only season now.

Latest update from MSV
https://news.donington-park.co.uk/no...at-dp-bsb.aspx Basically ticket sales "temporarily paused" for the Snetterton & Brands Hatch rounds due to the Government halting plans to allow limited spectator numbers into elite sports events. |

Neates driving was pretty shocking today. The incidents with Jade Edwards were really bad and obviously on purpose.
Surely he shouldn’t be allowed to continue in the championship after last weeks events and what happened today. |

If Butcher's car can't be fixed for Croft, could Motorbase use Neate's? |

If Shedden were driving that Focus Motorbase would be right up there at the sharp end of the points tables. In other news I was quietly impressed with Jade Edwards today, she did well not to go flying backwards in race 1, and generally held her own despite the best efforts of certain drivers. I've been neutral about her up to now, but I do think she could probably be a mid-grid driver in the BTCC if she could get the cash together for a decent drive. |

Neate probably the most disliked driver in the paddock, that'a real "achievment" to build such a reputation

Quite possibly, they could use one of last years shells for the 3rd car if they can't get Butcher's car fixed in time. It should be a case of 'just' bolting the standard parts back on and throwing the engine in. So run Butcher and Jackson in the new cars and put Neate in an old one.

I don't think the damage will actually be that severe. They'd have probably got it out again for the next race had it happened in race one or two. A fair amount of panel damage sure, but the chassis doesn't take any heavy hits, glances off the barrier and then a relatively gentle roll. |
