2021 where are those going hoping to camp/stay (Closed)
Well it looks like some of us will actually be able to go to this years race, i know it is still not certain but this year things will be very different, so people will not be staying were they usually hang out, Lets see were we all hope to be. Fingers crossed we will be there.

Sadly, I'll be watching from home this year. If things go to plan, aim to be trackside for 2022!

I will be watching from home again. We are due to return from Portugal (hopefully but that is up in the air at present) but our flight lands at about 12pm so I should be home in time to see the start.

I do a similar one each year so that those staying will know where everyone is, most people stay in the same campsite every year but for those going the first time it is the opportunity to meet other people if they are camping in the same place. The annual meet of forum members on saturday might be a little sparse this year but i am sure some of us will meet up.

Sorry to say that I won't be making the pilgrimage this year. Last year and earlier this year I had it in my mind that I'd go if it was possible. However for me, there seem to be too many unknowns and a slight lack of options.
Hope it is a great event and everyone who goes enjoys it immensely! |

Will fill this in when I feel a bit more confident about going. Since the high of getting tickets my optimism has taken a dip.

Well today i downloaded my tickets, appears no allocated spaces on the campsite so to depress Vince still further we will try to get a space close by him.

Great, should be there lunchtime as i think the top speed of the van is not exactly going to impress the local police force, but might cause a backlog traffic jam as we amble down the old roads. Look out for the vintage vw campervan.

Well at the moment no shows are running at 50%, but there are quite a few who have not posted what they are doing, notice ACO are still selling both camping and GE tickets so not a sell out yet.

Waiting for my letter, still nothing. After that I will decide, I must say with a different covid situation every day I'm still not sure if it is wise to attend.

As the ACO chose to change to the week we have a cottage booked in Cornwall I will have to miss this time even if it is possible to go. Maybe they picked that week on purpose ?

Then you can see the letter - even print it off. Doesn't sound like they will mail out physical tickets (just convert to e-tickets) so I don't think it's any stress waiting for the postman. Only issue for me is ACO ticket office won't answer the phone. |

Maybe they were having a lie down in a darkened room for a few days. I rang up this morning after days of trying, first time answer, tickets sorted and downloaded within 5mins.

I've traditionally always booked our camping tickets with agencies so I made a separate booking for this.
Managed to get Houx Annexe ordered online. We're traditionally on Houx anyway but was just happy to get a pitch to be honest. |
