Helen and Paul bought the full package and i usually have the sunday ones, but due to other commitments i could not make sunday and we got seperate tickets for thursday. Not sure but Helen may be open to selling the sunday ones if they decide not to do all 4 days this year. Guy has her number i think

No, I've decided not to volunteer this year. They were only looking for people who could do all four days (mornings or afternoons) and my posting for 4 days last year was pretty exhausting to get to for 7 am every morning!

To be honest Simon, it's not one of those things I'd have any inclination to do every year. I enjoyed my four days last year, seeing the Glick, meeting Jim, shaking Mario's hand and seeing some great cars, but the runs up the hill left me a little cold, if I'm honest. Going for 4 days and not having to pay anything but my petrol was definitely the ideal way to do it. I'll hang on for the Revival when I will be volunteering for the three days again.

I hope you will dress appropriate. You could wear your old national service uniform. Not been to the revival for many years but always found it good

I have the tweed jacket and accompaniments I wore last year..... The Revival was infinitely more fun than the FOS, IMO.

I had hoped to go Sean, but wasn't called upon. I suspect the number of volunteers used at the Revival is much larger than at the Members Meeting. I've also only been doing it for a year, so I'm probably near the bottom of the 'called upon' list....

Unwashed Glick looking lovely at FoS. FOMO definitely starting to set in but I've committed to making it an every other year thing. Which means next year I'll be there. Enjoy it everyone who is going. The Glick, two LMDh's plus everything else. Gonna be awesome. |

Oh you can use the word freely as far as other events are concerned. It's only banned for Le Mans.....
For those who are going, I hope you have a great time. I'm having a golf lesson - probably in the ****. |

Golf. Now that should be on the banned word list.

It was good fun actually. Out in the middle of the New Forest, whacking golf balls.... All over the place for the first 10 minutes then after some very good tuition, actually hitting a few straight and long ones.... |

Burley? If so you need to avoid hitting the ponies too.

This, I find, is the problem with Golfing. No matter how inept you are, you will always hit one or two Perfect Shots on a round, and makes you think that if you just practice a bit more you'd be the next Tiger Woods.

Well a good day at Goodwood FOS yesterday, weather was so much better than the forcaste and perfect for ambling around the site. Plenty of new cars to see even if most of them were electric. Bumped into several people from our le mans campsite and quite a few drivers, quite a few le mans cars there to and chatted to several people from the teams showing off thier cars in thier dirt splattered splender. Thursday seems to be a good day to go to see drivers as they are usually busy on the friday and the weekend.
