I can't wait, we should be in for a classic event this year. So many top manufacturers and drivers, plus a few decent privateers

It would make sense to have a full IMSA crew and driver line up because they will be very familiar with the car, of course... |

I couldn't believe that it was that long ago. Smart by Simon to be looking towards the hypercar category too. Especially now that he is a honda driver in Indy and they may eventually decide on a WEC or Le Mans program.

He probably would have been a Caddy driver if he had stayed with a Chevy team in Indy...

Interesting one. Especially the bit about BWT livery. Glick retweeted the German source article so seems legit intel. |

Glickenhaus needs some fast youngsters to go with their veterans line ups - I'm sure there are some F2 and Indy Lights kids who are able to bring some sort of backing to pick from.

Ganassi is still trying to figure out how to work the logistics of a 2nd car for Le Mans. Good news is they appear to have 4 chassis with the test car being brought up to spec
https://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/...th-second-car/ What i don't know, is how will the Action Express team handle things? Ship their chassis back stateside for Watkins after Le Mans, or do they also have additional chassis? |

Sensibly they would use a different car for LM, it's going to need, at best, a wear & tear rebuild afterwards, at worst it'll be in a skip. I doubt there is enough time to get the car back, rebuilt, and over to the Glen.

Nice lineup for the Tower entry - https://www.dailysportscar.com/2023/...-24-hours.html
Obviously Farano is a very limiting factor on their total pace. But could be up there in the opening hours. |

I know he's a bronze, a 'proper' Am, but how fast/slow is he? He's obviously fast enough to have won the LMP2 class at Sebring, though the depth of field isn't quite the same in IMSA LMP2. The occasional bronze can mix it with the pro drivers, like Keating for example. At Daytona a year or so back he was in thr DPi category, and if I remember rightly he wasn't the slowest of the 4 drivers in his car, or at least, was right up there with them? Anyway, it seems almost unfair to other bronze drivers that they have to compete against Keating |

We've got the lineup I was hoping for for the additional IMSA Porsche:
https://www.dailysportscar.com/2023/...completed.html Tandy, Nasr, Jaminet is superb. EDIT: Only something like 20 unfilled seats remaining. Last edited by Simmi; 29 Mar 2023 at 19:05. |

Hard to believe Tandy's win in the 919 was 8 years ago

Surprised that there are still 7 seats open in Hypercar. Thoughts on who might get those? Quite a few more in the lower classes. I imagine they probably know who many of them are going to but just haven't announced it.

Nevermind, I was looking at an old list that the FIA has posted. Only the Glickenhaus seats open.

Paul Dalla Lana has retired from racing. The entry is being taken over by Heart of Racing although as per the ACO rules, it will still race as Northwest AMR. I assume this leaves Thiim and Jeffries without a drive?
