From the Autosport Directory 90 (so 89 times):
Brands Hatch - Gravett 1.32.97 100.67mph (GP) Donnington - Gravett 1.40.28 89.74mph (long) Rouse 1.14.20 94.94mph (Club) Oulton - Gravett 1.40.62 99.06mph Silverstone - Rouse 1.17.32 110.04mph (GP) - Gravett 1.13.54 93.64mph (National) Snetterton - Gravett 1.07.50 102.24mph Thruxton - Rouse 1.20.78 104.99mph Remember that most tracks have changed since then, so hard to compare times against races in latter half of 90's. Thanks for that Supertouring, I understand that most tracks have changed, Silverstone being one.
Just looking for rough info to compare the current cars really. Thanks again. |

Donington BTCC 1989
RS500 - Andy Rouse 1.14.20 s Donington BTCC 2003 Astra - James Thompson 1m 14.610s I would have thought the newer car would be quicker to be honest with the advancements in tyres/brakes/aerodynamics... Last edited by GVK; 11 Dec 2003 at 21:49. |

The RS500 was rear wheel drive though... And most probably lighter too

i bet do to speeds and sero - as was said braking distances is probably half, and power transfer is probably better, as is grip. I rather am fond of the new BTCC, not like the mid 90's touring, that was, as they they say 'sweet t its.'
