the blame game

and the f1 soap opera gets into full swing:
ms blames montoya......montoya blames ms
dc blasts bar and blames ralf for the tunnel shunt with alonso
alonso blames ralf and ralf calls alonso inexperienced
button blasts damatta
ferrari blame montoya and williams blames ms...

oh i love this sport......have my tickets in hand for montreal and indy and can hardly wait.....

You've spotted the first and most constant rule of F1.

Whatever happens is always someone else's fault!

MS/JPM: Both have done played the incident IMHO. Compare it to Imola. Montoya hasn't made a big deal of it this time and Schumacher has come out to explain his side. I think this has frustrated the internet rags as they try to make something out of it.

Generally you are right though, this is how it normally is. It gets a little silly here when such a big big deal is made of it - especially when I reckon we are all a little (or a lot) like that in real life!

Yeah your right there, and not just in F1, if i think back over my life then i can honestly say nothing was ever my fault, There is allways someone or something to blame for just about everything.

Unless your name is Damon Hill of course

I remember a number of occasions where he admitted
it was his fault

I always admired him for that, to this day he is still
my favourite F1 Driver

Normally drivers get particularly upset when they know they've done a ridicoulous mistake; remember spa 98?
The same for Alonso, for instance.

The thing i feel strange rather is how FIA/stewards' intergrity is dictated by the outcome of their decisions...their integrity doubted only if the outcome is against an individual/team's interests.

Formula One drivers are like politicians- they put
a "spin" on everything bad that occurs.

Ralf says"don't blame me"
www.itv-f1.com/news/news_story/21329
I think Ralf's loosing his cool. It wouldn't supprise me if he quits F1, He hasn't been happy since leaving Jordan. After moving into a top team people have expected him to be as good as his brother and i think he has taking more critisim than if he was not related to any-one involved in motorsport. The media have been awfull to him especially his own countrys media calling him gay, his marrage a sham and printing naked photos of his wife Cora. You can see how influenced he is by manager Willi Weber by some of the talk going on at the mo. I believe Ralf would of liked to stay at Williams.
