Chip Ganassi hoping to run a second Cadillac in June. Some news from the Daytona Roar notebook on Sportscar365 as it pertains specifically to Scott Dixon, but also notes who the other drivers would be:

**Scott Dixon has been confirmed as the third driver in the No. 01 CGR Cadillac for the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring according to O’Gara, while his participation in the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen is unclear due to the timing of the team’s NTT IndyCar Series testing.

***O’Gara said the Kiwi will be part of the team’s lineup at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, alongside Renger van der Zande and Sebastien Bourdais, should they get their second Cadillac entry approved for the French endurance classic.

Should be a strong driver lineup.

With the comments floating around about customer Porsche delivery dates and testing schedules, it seems like quite a good bet that we might see a second Cadillac out for LM - and with those drivers, it would be a proper contender, you'd assume.

The Asian Le Mans Series can still earn some auto entries, so I think we have to wait for the finish of that championship. Which is next month.

From a BoP (extra work) perspective I'm sure the M8 is the last thing the ACO want turning up but I'd agree with others it would be fantastic to see. Got to admire the brand loyalty from Walkenhorst.

Really enjoyed the AsLMS all in all. DKR managed to win through sheer consistency with an incredibly old chassis (a 2017 original, chassis no.5!) which left them hamstrung at every single pitstop with slower servicing.

The format really works and I honestly can't see AsLMS going back to it's previous calendar with shipping to Asia, even Australia etc. The grid would take a massive hit. The current set-up works and it means a lot of European teams can enter and re-group ahead of the European season. Maybe it's time to re-name it and, dare I say it, try to restart the AsLMS in it's original format? Not sure.

Some young star names in P2 who will hopefully end up at Le Mans in the future (my personal AsLMS ranking order): Malthe Jakobsen, Nolan Siegel, Kyffin Simpson, Ayhancan Guven.

Would very much recommend people check out the races on YouTube - particularly the Abu Dhabi pair.

I agree the current format works and technically the Middle East is part of Asia. But, nowadays you mostly see European teams and drivers competing. In my opinion that's not the true spirit of the Asian Le Mans Series.

Indeed, either rename it and/or include the other parts of Asia in its calendar. For the latter, create an incentive for teams to enter.
