I pretty much lost interest after the #30 retired, still was hoping Magnus would pull it off again so pretty disappointed with the result.

Can someone explain why in the official webpage the GT winners are Magnus racing?

I like Ganassi and everything but it has become somewhat tiresome...poor Wayne Taylor can't catch a break.
And Allan McNish still has no idea what time it is... |

So I guess Audi finally won their GT class at Daytona! Good for them!

Pretty surprised to see Audi win GT. I figured them for a podium but not to stand on top of it so big congrats to Alex Job, great to see another manufacturer other then Porsche win GT for once.
Disappointed that Wayne Taylor missed out on the win. A good fightback for the #60 to get third after AJ had a brain fade so happy to see Ambrose's car in third. But I think the real star of the race has to be RLM, I was away from home most of the weekend so followed it through TuneIn on my phone and that kept me in the loop so massive thanks to their efforts and Im looking forward to them being at Bathurst in a fortnights time. |

I dipped in and out of this. Thought the end was pretty exciting, if a little manufactured. Still, close racing right up to the finish is not something I should complain about too much.
Re: Motors TV The ads were annoying me too, but weren't Motors forced to go to those breaks every time Speed went to commercial because they were essential just rebroadcasting the Speed production? I don't think they had a choice (other than to show ten minutes of US commercials). |

Hmm, strange. Especially as they weren't ads for anything, only for the channel's own content so there wasn't any revenue being generated.
I would still be surprised if it was deliberate. Perhaps the onboards stopped working, I dunno. |

Being at the race made me lose confidence in Grand Am's ability to performance balance cars, and gain confidence in their ability to manufacture exciting finishes.

The x victory by the Napleton Porsche Cayman was not only the 75th class victory by Porsche at Daytona, but, kept alive a string of a Porsche having a class victory in every race from the 1962 Continental up to this year's 24 Hours! That is an amazing record! All three of the Caymans were shop built with no support from Porsche, and run by private teams. I was pulling for the local team from Central Florida, but pleased to see the 'hippie' car win. The 'hippie' car even garnered some tv time.

From what I saw the Hippie car had ALOT of TV time for a bottom rung 3 car effectively class. Quite an achievement to their hot-rodded Cayman to get thru the 24 hours incident free!
