No. Quite surprised really given its results and pretty good reliability record, despite being bolted together by me!

Going back to the thread - Mallory and Combe circuit info is up.
The rest will be done once the circuits can bother to reply to our requests. |

I've removed the 'discussion' on Redracer77 and UCLan as it had nothing to do with the thread and is better left to those concerned to resolve in private, not in a forum.
Cheers. |

ian sowman..... no offense but do you class yourself as a journalist???
if so then its usually decent to research what you write... anglesey isnt a point and squirt circuit by any means, that is very very obvious and the heap of drivers telling you otherwise makes it blunt to the rest of us that research is required in any article thats meant for public perusal.. i wouldnt dream of writing a report without researching what im writing about, neither would i attempt to take a photo without first working out how to switch the camera on. anglesey is a very very fun circuit both for drivers and for the team as well, a chance for a nice relaxed evening a bbq, plenty of tins and if anyone was there about 2 years ago, one big "come and join in" football match between anyone who wished to join in, great fun... the amount of races around this time plus it being a long weekend for the double headers, plus other commitments etc probably did more to lower the numbers than anything to do with any mickey mouse characteristics (ears included) that you may have decided in your wisdom that the circuit posesses... |

Jamie the report is fair and is Ian's point of view.
I am sure he can't please everyone. Although it is a stunning venue and a great drivers track it is hard to over take. |

ian isnt a driver as far as im aware, so maybe geting the point of view of someone who has driven the ciruit before making rash suggestions to the circuits drivability there are plenty of drivers around here who have driven the circuit...... why wasnt one of those asked before writing such an alegation against the track....

Point and squirt may have been the wrong words but he lives in Birmingham so he obviously can't get everything right!!!
What he was trying to say is that it is tight circuit. I wish it was a point and squirt as if it was I may well have been able to turn in as well as Stu Gough last year at the top of the hill!! |

Ian was not getting at the track but you are correct in thinking that he is not a driver but he does a lot of work for FF1600 so please don't knock him.

I've just looked back at the preview and the wording was "... rather 'point-squirt'".
The "rather" suggests a slightly relative term, in comparison with Oulton, or Thruxton, say. And I did put 'point-squirt' in ''s to indicate a slightly imprecise definition... Anyway, enough of me being pedantic. I won't point out again the many positive points I raised. |

clubff1600 needs views. I find even the negative points balanced. The nice thing is it promotes a talking point and is "real" in that is doesn't just mention the good things it provides a genuine look at the club ff1600. I think the previews are top notch, the paddock talk is great, especially to see what other people say and the stories behind the events and the race reports really let me follow the other championships well.
I'm %101 enjoyin clubff166 |

yes you have raised some positive points in that article however you managed to rubbish the entire layout of anglesey circuit in 2 very small and ill-informed words however instead of admitting they were ill informed and inacurate you'd rather play around with exactly how it was written to try and make it all acceptable
i was always taught to admit to my mistakes...... |

Did I rubbish it? No, I think not.
I don't think I even said "Anglesey is a track where overtaking is totally impossible and should not be on the calendar". Because I don't think that, even a little bit. Anglesey's getting a new layout in the coming years - maybe that will often a different, even greater challenge. |
