Dont know if this has been covered before but crash.net are reporting that Jan Lammers will hopefully be on the Le Mans grid for 2006 with a new car. No mention of the LMS but I wonder if we will see them on the grid at some point in 2006...

Having failed so far to achieve the results that it has been hoping for, Jan Lammers Racing for Holland venture is pinning its hope on a new car that it hopes will be able to take on the likes of Audi and Pescarolo at next years Le Mans 24 Hours.

Despite being one of the most dedicated entrants for the annual race, Racing for Holland has so far been unable to translate pre-race promise into a solid podium result. Having often proved quick over one lap, especially in qualifying, owner-driver Lammers is now determined to maintain that pace throughout the race with a newly-designed car from Japanese partner Dome as he goes in search of that elusive rostrum placing.

We have got a new car on the way from Japan which we hope will be able to get into the top five, or maybe the top four, Lammers told Crash.net at the recent Dubai A1GP meeting, "We have always been reasonable in qualifying to be there at the start, but we want to be there at the finish too now. We have been saying for many years that the rostrum would be lovely, but it is not easy and it does not come for free.

Acknowledging that the Le Mans effort has been a costly exercise, Lammers is eager for the venture to pay off soon in order to cement the team's future.

A lot of effort went in and I want to get a podium soon," the Dutchman insisted, "I want to win Le Mans with Racing for Holland, but things are very tough because the first five years has cost us E1.5million - and most of that is financed by the creditors. It is not intentional but, unfortunately, that is how it goes. You see many teams in motorsport function like that, and I am embarrassed to be in that situation from Racing for Holland's point of view.

I am working day and night to get out of that situation so everybody gets their money and we get our future. There is a lot of positive response to that. Now, for Le Mans, we want a better effort and the opportunity to build a better car.

DSC cites www.turbomagazine.be as the source for the PSI story, I'm not aware of the credibility of that source but I'm sure someone here is.

They also hint that both C6.Rs will be headed for the continent, but no more news than that!

A few months ago their regular driver Donny Crevels has said Spyker wil do 16 races (10x FIA GT + 5x LMS + LM?) next season. But I have seen no official press release from Spyker about their racing schedule.

Just a quick note on Horag-Lista Racing, one of the members of the team post on another forum. From what he said was that Horag-Lista Racing is no more. Fredy Lienhard has pulled out due to health reasons and gone with him is Lista a main sponsor, but Horag Racing is very much alive, they are discussing a Le Mans entry and the idea of upgrading there Lola to LMP1 car.

The Chamberlain-Synergy B05/40 has been sold according to DSC. The car has been bought by ASM Team Racing for Portugal and will be raced in the LMS/Le Mans (entry permitting). Pedro Couceiro and Miguel Pais do Amaral will be the drivers.

The question is really, how many new toys will Uncle Hugh have to play with next year. There's the rumoured all female piloted LMP1, but I'm wondering if there might just be a second. We'll just have to wait for that announcement. I'd love to see Guy Smith given a chance in a Lola LMP1..........

Apparently a two car Lola P1 team will compte in 2006, but I doubt this would be Chamberlain, unless they've had a large injection of funds.

I was going to come here all happy that I'd seen the ASM Lola testing today and I would tell you all that it is the ex-Chamberlain one, only for you all to already know it... I should have read all of the dsc.com news...

But anyway, I hope ASM runs well, they're Portuguese. For the time that I was there the car set times in the 1:33/34 bracket, with Pais do Amaral at the wheel.

As for Chamberlain, it would be good to see them upgrade to the LMP1 class. Why else would they sell their Lola?
