(OK, the 007 had one anyway, but if the thing blows up you don't really want to put something new and untried in overnight, even if they could have done it) |

3rd and 4th in P2, hmm. And of course the winning Porsche in GT2.
I guess we now have a 1-2-3 for Ferrari. Too bad the Spyker didn't get passed 1 or 2 Ferraris in the end. Guess we'll have to wait for why. |

Any news on the Bruno Senna crash at the end of the race?
How did it happen ? I saw Lapierre in the other car have a very strange moment at almost the same spot in qualifying, maybe there was something wrong with the car. He looked like he outbraked himself or something had jammed in the car, he was stranded at the entry of the corner and not until after the red flag was out he could restart the car. |

The exclusion of the 77 Felbermayr car for a missing outer wheel arch just highlights the ACOs inconsistencies. Last year the Clerk of the course would send you a note to say repair it or get the black flag - similar modus operandi in LMP 1 and 2 with the cooling vents going missing or breaking. This year nothing just a post race exclusion - no doubt Porsche will send in the Lawyers.
Wonder if the LMP 2 cars were excluded for missing or broken cooling vents around the tyres in the bodywork! |

I was really shocked when I heard the news this morning. Nothing appeared wrong when they checked the engine en fuel in scrutenering before I left the circuit. They've should have saved the trouble of checked the whole car before excluding them afterwards because of the missing outer wheelarch. First they where checked on all the things before turning to the bodywork. |

Eurosport disappointment
Sorry if I am out of sync with other comments on this subject, but the Eurosport coverage was diabolical. I went in the kitchen to get a quick snack to settle down to watch some fab sportscars and when I came back bike racing was on!!! Thought the channel had switched over to E2, but no.... The later broadcast was little better. I signed up to Sky because I assumed these races would be live - didn't Motors used to show the whole LMS races? Is this a blip - will Euro show more of the races?
Even worse I have to shell out extra to watch FIA GTs on bloody Setanta. Oh and where is ALMS (ok a little below par this year, but...). Sorry, rant over. |

This makes them very vulnurable for financial "arguments" from Burnie's FIA and this is probably the reason why TV coverage of the major sportscarclasses is such a mess at the moment.(You know,F1 in financial troubles, sportscars having too much popularity and succes for Max and Burnie...) Happened before though. This is the same way the FIA killed the ITCC back in the late nineties. Just by making the rights to air it astronomical. |

Yes the ACO are in a s*** state at the moment, giving penalties to teams having to change engines because of the **** poor fuel the ACO provides, and then randomly handing out DQ's for missing bodywork, i bet you next race a Ferrari will finish the race with half a door missing and no rear bumper and not get DQ'ed, they have no consistency and are making a mockery of themselves FIA style.
