I did not see the one at Lydden but from what I was told it was a big bucks car.The good thing about them is that there are a lot of off the shelf parts for them and they have had a few seasons development now so there is loads of info about.

Richard Casey did a 45.5 in qualifiying which is not bad for his first time round Lydden.

25K, that seem good value when you compare the cost of building a competitive classic A series mini. And I bet the engines last a lot longer.

Yeah Ken I rekon a good front running classic Mini would now be over £30K and it would not be as robust.

There certainly is a lot of cheap competitve cars out there for sale and they seem a much better option than building one from scratch or upgrading an existing car..

Depending on the shell cost and how much you do yourself its over 35 for a mig
those fia historic minis that took part in goodwood were between 30- 50 k

Just goes to show there is no point in reshelling or upgrading my car much as those figures are way out of reach.
Its no secret that i want Miglia but i think even thats out of reach.
A car that dosent require a rebuild ever season is tempting.

Hast du considered de fatherland her Tristam?

http://www.racecarsdirect.com/listin..._Race_Car.html

Or maybe a Mediterranean feeling?

http://www.racecarsdirect.com/listin...uper_Copa.html

But i have to agree, those MINIs do look good value, would it be a step into the DMN tris or stay with tintops?

Simon

Rob i have not got 10k or 13k for a miglia and i dont see too much point in reshelling.
Nice cars simon, buy me one for christmas!
I would like to step up to the DMN at some point but i do enjoy the tin top intermarque races.
Im making some changes over winter to mine if nothing else it will look a bit smarter come spring.

Tristian give the car to Gavin and he will sort it out. He has built loads of Migs and comes 100% recomended. But a word of warning don't give him cider or wear a wooly hat..

You can build a good shell cheap but as most of the classes are now up to 1600cc or 2000cc if you want to run at the front of them then it costs a lot more.I know how much my Mini cost to run at the front over a season compared to the Honda.Iam sure Ken spent a bit last season. You have to screw a Mini to the limits now days.

It is if you have the money to spend or you are able to prep the car and engine yourself. You pay your money and take your choice.

As they never produced a 16V 205 it would gain a 50% cc gain due to the 16v head being fitted and jump up to C
