Tom Coronel in an Audi with Comtoyou Racing for 2020 WTCR.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17KqnRDSVTU&t=0s Unless the BoP changes dramatically, there may be challenges ahead with the privateer Audis. |

How many entries are confirmed besides the 4 Honda's and Coronel/Comtoyou Audi?

And I think Comtoyou can't run just a single car, the rules does not permit it (if they were not changed recently). But even if we calculate with 4 Honda/Hyundai/Lynk+ 2 Audi and maybe 2 or 4 Cupra, that is just a maximum of 18 cars... |

I expect 4 Hyundai, 4 Lynk & Co and 1 extra Comtoyou.

The question is: is that enough? When you see your feet with no footwear, also see those with no feet.

The season opening at Hungary was cancelled. Even no entry list is available.

It seems the organisers are desperate for them to be in the series but they are not complying with the rules. Precedent is set now, if you want to you can just turn up with a prototype car and win the WTCR. |

For TCR entry you are meant to have a car to sell someone in 120 days after beginning competition.
I would suggest that this SHOULD mean someone who is not an entity that you control. It is quite clear Lynk and Co have no plans to sell a car and they quite obviously are a related party of Cyan Racing even if they have arms-length separation they can show on paper. I think that actually it should not be allowed to enter the WTCR without making a car available to any third party for entry into national TCR championships. I think for BoP reasons you shouldn't be allowed to run in WTCR without running in TCR. |

Believe I saw an article a couple months ago that the first customer cars had been built / sold. Still a long while after the WTCR program begun, though.

you would think though if the organisers were allowing Geely Group Motorsport to not sell cars cars to customers or that they are selling cars to themselves that rival teams would kick off about it.

Audi and VW leaving nothing to do with Lynk and Co VW left WTCR becaise VW are leaving just focusing on electric motor-sport Of course factory teams are not allowed in WTCR so manufacturers cant really pull out of a championship they are not in. All the cars are technically run by 3rd party teams |

Yes but the Hyundai you can go and buy and plenty of people have.
They get BoP adjustments for their pace in national series. I'm wondering whether 2019 was the last great year for WTCR. Lynk and Co will probably win again and then pack it up, and never sell a car to any team, which is the point of TCR, if you ask me. |

Maybe Geely have found a loophole in the rules and thus are able to sell cars to teams owned by themselves so they can say to TCR "see we sold all cars we needed to be with in the rules"
if they have done that you cant really close that rule. how do you define what is a third party team Geely building the cars, selling them to Cyan Racing who run them with factory drivers is no different to Hyundai building an i30 selling it to BRC racing who run the cars with factory drivers. Yes the i30 ihas been brought by plenty of customers but the order book for the Lynk and co has been opened and some cars have been delivered to customers. |

in fact I challenge you to find a picture of a road-going Lynk and Co 03 in the hands of an actual owner, of which Lynk and Co claim a couple of thousand per month. There aren't any pictures. |

Cars have been delivered to a customer, Cyan Racing Geely delivering cars to Cyan Racing is the same as Hyundai delivering cars to BRC Racing it just seems that so far that Cyan are the only customer Geely doesn't own Cyan Racing they are a separate company |
