Viso and Saavedra to the Starworks DP... unfortunately I get the feeling neither of them will be able to keep a clean race.

They are both extremely fast, but not exactly the best choice for a 24-hour race given their history, I agree...

I wonder how many more people went to their twitter feed and then their website due to this. Might be a good thing to show future sponsors how they can drum up interest.... I don't know magnus' funding situation, but getting attention in a sponsor driven sport is never bad.

Magnus will also be streaming live from their pits and car during the 24. It can be found at their site.

They seem to be alternating between having GT and P/PC on each side of a row (i.e. GTs left on first row, right of second row etc.) I count 39 GTs and 25 P/PC in the photo. Missing seems to be the #02 Ganassi and #07 Mazda P2 plus a GTD car, not sure which. As a starting point, can anyone make out the Aston-Martins? The #97 GTLM is the second car from right on the fourth row, not sure about the two GTD Astons.

One of the GTD Astons is 4th from right in the back row but I can't find the other one.

(Assumption) Not to state the obvious, but this is TRG....I am never surprised to see one of their car's disappear off the grid before a race.

It looks as if it were a temp placement.

Yes, its been moved. When the regs came out the positioning appeared quite strict, but lots of teams have moved it where they want (moving it to the quarter window like Corvette, Viper and RLL BMW is great) and some have covered up part of it with vinyl (which I suspect most will do).

Illustrations will be updated post Daytona, so you know where to look come Sebring. They were a bit tempramental at the Spa 24Hr IIRC, so hope the bugs are ironed out. While its a bit of a pain for liveries, its great for fans and corner workers.

Will MRN be available to listen to in the UK?

Also, it's just hit me how confusing the 10-past-the-hour start time will be. It was confusing enough when it was half-past the hour. Why can't it start at the top of the hour like all the other major endurance races?

I figured TV would have something to do with it. It'll be confusing though, as the race clock will be 10 minutes behind real time.

Mazda's bringing up the rear again. Slower than the GS cars at this point.

I see the car 23 Porsche of Alex Job Racing has some damage. I assume he was the cause of the oil on the track

Graf only just within two seconds of quickest DP. Very tight in GTLM and GTD though.

No, he was a victim of the oil on the track as was the 55 BMW which also has quite a bit of damage.

This is my personal 'war room' setup for Sat/Sun. Some of these links will be old news to you guys, some might not. I update it throughout the weekend as I find links legal and otherwise to streams and feeds throughout the badlands:

I dont think imsa.com has a timing and scoring link on their front page right now. I found it on Marshal's resource page on RACER.

A new look which is a tad better I think. GTLM is in green and GTD is in orange. I find that interesting.

That's a jury-rigged version of it. IMSA version is still just red and blue.

What was strange during this first practice was that the jury-rigged version had more complete and up-to-date info than the official IMSA version.
