If that move is perfectly fine, i sure hope #3 and #51 offer some payback when the title is down to the wire at the last race |

One of my favourite corners. This corner catches many out, because as they turn into Breaker street, there's a little rise that unsettles the cars. It why quite often you see the back ends step out. Most don't try to overtake as they learn quickly that it's a corner that can bite.
But every now 'n again you get a cocky one like JW here, trying the lunge up the inside. And more often than not, someone comes off second best. In this case Bargs had the honour. In all the time this event has happened, the only one who mastered such a move and got away with it. Was Nigel Mansell in the Newman-Haas Lola in 1993. Since then, that type of manouver on that corner has usually ended in tears. EDIT: Mansell Manouver at 5 minute 55 second mark Last edited by Toads; 25 Oct 2009 at 10:49. |

I thought there was a regulation this year that stipulate the overall number of people that could work on each car during the weekend?
According to Channel 7, people from other teams were assisting 888 to get Whincup back on track, plus this report says 4 members of the Logan Smash repair team assisted too: http://www.v8supercars.com.au/conten...9/fever_pitch/ I would have thought that would have put them over the limit? |

I thought I heard that they said they had dropped that ruling for this round since the change to the 4 x 150km schedule. Due to the minimal turn around times inbetween races.

Yup retro, Well, it wasn't really tidy, lol. But he did manage to get away with it. I was standing on that corner when he went for it. It doesn't look like much on tele, but it definately was a crowd pleaser in the vicinity, when Mansell pulled it off.

Rubbish. Bargs didn't give him any room whatsoever, despite what he says. And the nose of the Hogster was at the A pillar, which last time i looked, is forward of the B Pillar. If Whincup was to be penalised then so should everyone that ran down the right hand side and squeezed someone else on the left through turns 1 and 2 over the weekend
Quote of the weekend, Skaife on J. Richards' issue at turn 5 "there's the problem, he has a wheel alignment issue" referring to his broken steering. classic. Close runner up has to be Bright's Twitter with thanks to Retro: "8th place. Love to say it was me and i passed 12 cars but to be honest 90 percent of them fell off" |
