Aslak, yes, he did do some races in the Czech Championship this year for Charouz. He won the title, so I think he must have started more than 2 races (his first Czech title - something close to his heart). I think Antonin has looked after him very handsomely for some time...
I have only followed Enge for the races that Kiesa attended, so you are probably right. It seems that Antonin has looked after him handsomely, hopefully also teaching him not to drive like a &"%%#..

Thank you for the update.

Good news from England: british driver Simon Moulton is currently leading the Peugeot THP Cup(one event left to run at Dijon this week-end)and could win the "test day" in the 908 HDI by december(like 2007 Cup winner Dino Lunardi has had last year)

Strangely the Danish national Spyder Cup does not offer that opportunity, ofcourse to the current contract with the promoter. Could be cool though, as we use the Spyders for enduranceracing as well.

Montagny is an ass? He is one of the quickest guys on the grid. I don't think he's overly aggressive, you need a certain amount of aggression to be successful in motorsport at any level.

Talk to any of the other P car drivers on the grid, those he beats and those that consistently beat him. They have other thoughts. And thats not even beginning to bring up the GT drivers.

Forget the ALMS, Peugeot need Montagny in the LMS, I'd only rate McNish as better, and that's only due to his greater experience.

Aslak, the Danish is only a national championship. The ones who get the test drive is the international championship

According to this week Auto-Hebdo, WRC 5 times champion Sébastien Loeb would not only test the 908 this months, but would also test it several times during the 2009 season !!!!!

I've been thinking for some time Loeb would retire from the WRC, but he's too young and too big an asset to the Peugeot/Citroen group to finish altogether.

Le Mans cars is probably is only shot, as he's too old to start in F1!.
Otherwise he should go to Touringcars, but there really isn't any french involvement there!. (eventhough there was a rumor about Citroen in Dtm )

Honestly, l think it is coming to the point where Loeb has no more to prove in the WRC. The competition is not the stiffest, so why not try on the 908?

A shame that old Henri cant put together a nasty package for Seb. The talk about GM and red Bull seems to have vanished..?

Offtopic: Robert Schlünssen will run in the 207 Spider HPC finale, not by coincidence as the national 207 Spider winner was not able to attend, in front of the Pug heads. Well well

It's done for Simon Moulton !!!! He was hit by another driver and retired in the first race(unlucky)but won the 2nd race and is the 2008 THP Spider Cup overall winner: he will have a test with the 908 in december...congratulations to him

The second race was won by Robert Schlünssen, after claiming third in the first. Something which was noticed by Peugeot Sport, well done Simon!

Schlünssen had a penalty that put him 6th overall on race 2

By the way, interesting rumour about Peugeot drivers for 2009 LMS !!! Pedro Lamy would run only Le Mans next year, and Frank Montagny would join Stéphane Sarrazin in the #8 908 in the championship !!! If it's true it's exciting knowing the speed of the two french drivers(together they could make the 908 really fly)

Marc Gené, as I expected a little , could be unsure in Peugeot in 2009(maybe Ferrari F1 will use him more than usual)

To be honest, Marc Gene hasnt really impressed in the 908. I think he owns the record for offtrack excursions in that car, bending no less than two cars at Le Mans.

And he is not the fastest of the guys.
