I on't think it'll spark withdrawals either. There will be full streaming coverage, which we don't always have (not without forking out for it) so sponsors will actually get more for their buck than usual. For the teams and drivers, the experience will be no different. The main issue will be for drivers who will have continental travel... and many of those have made their decision already. The 'pretty people' hangers-on won't be missed....

Massive shame that there will be no specatators. Certainly add noise with all the hybrids being there! Sympathies to all those due to go this year. Anyone gonna do anything you usually do at the circuit at home?

Like this tweet if you can get the best tool possible to follow Le Mans remotely.

Fans rest assured, the ACO will offer them an exceptional device to follow the race, from a distance, including a digital platform to discover behind the scenes of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. That could just mean the app, but I sincerely hope not. |

Worst case scenario would be to pay for Eurosport Player (8 euro or similar) and cancel it immediately after the race.
OK, that's still 8 euro, but if that is neede to follow the entire race, then so be it. (I did it this way the last 2 years) Of course, free streaming woule be even better. |

I think the ACO know there are a lot of disappointed people out there who they need to keep satisfied so that they get them back next year. I'm expecting a free YT stream.

I suspect the biggest hurdle to a free stream would be the contract with Eurosport, who I assume have paid some sort of fee for the broadcast rights, and are expecting to sell a certain number of one-off subscriptions for the race.

Timing system is a bigger issue IMO. £5-£10 to stream the race is really not that big. deal. But the deliberate removal of all decent timing systems is still a disgrace.
There is a Chrome extension one, but it isn't reasonable to expect everyone to know how to use browser extensions. |

i am sure that certainly ACO members will be given a link to watch the race live, but suspect the race will be free to air somewhere any way

Gabriel Aubry is positive to Covid-19 test. He and his team (Algarve) have decided to quarantine themselves.
He is in the Jackie Chan DC Racing crew for Le Mans. https://www.lequipe.fr/Sport-auto/Ac...ositif/1160727 |

Eurasia line up carried over from Spa. Unlikely to be anywhere near the front.

Well there's still the Cetilar Dallara if Carlin doesn't show up, so it won't be a total spec Oreca fest with only couple of random leftover Oaks to break the spell, but you know...

Losing interest in the entry news I have to say. Normally I'd be all over it.
On the plus side, I'll be printing off the Andy Blackmore SG this year and getting the marker pen out for the first time in a decade. |
