I don't see much difference. Extending corners is adding time not subtracting it. Using all the track was always done, it's nothing new. Just seems like something else you want to complain about imo. GT1 would be a lot faster today with aero and tire advancements. Track limits aren't going to add much to their gains, but I think track surface will. Imagine a modern Ford GT GT1 running 1200kg and 50-100hp more. It'd beat lmp2's.

I think we will see more running than you would usually expect on a wet Thursday because the chance of rain during the race is very high. Having said that it seems a few teams are starting to put their race engines in early.

I think the Shank team should serve their 5 minute penalty when there is a extended clean up or fix going on. An FCY at Le Mans would be rare I think but they could try to hold out for that for the first 9 hours. After that then they better just serve the penalty when there is any local yellow slowing the cars down.

Top runners are close in terms of wet pace as far as drawing conclusions goes now..
Porsche and Audi did a lap into the 3:45s, Toyota 3:46

This could be a Porsche white wash, though I do think that Audi can improve, at least as far as race pace, while Toyota have been having glitches of their own, and even last year, the 2015 spec hybrid parts for Porsche weren't 100% bullet proof, either.

I think Audi will be fast but no chance it'll last. Porsche 1-2 IMO.
