I have had a quick search through the Sporting Regs and it says teams have to notify the Stewards etc in good time if they are withdrawing from a competition and if they don't they could be fined EUR 10000.
Not sure if that's the case here but I didn't see anything else that was obviously relevant. |

Completely off-topic from the last several posts, but I think this is the correct thread - are there any anticipated "art cars" for 2019?

Well the Risi entry has become far more interesting!

http://www.dailysportscar.com/2019/0...-michelin.html In 2018, the JS P217s appeared to struggle when running on Dunlop compounds, prompting United Autosports to make a mid-season switch to Michelin as an experiment. It yielded strong results, as the team won the final two races of the season with the French rubber, and have will continue to use it this season. However, with Dunlop’s new compound now in play, and the new season upon us, there has been movement. Panis Barthez (one of its Ligiers featured above) made a late switch from Michelin to Dunlop. Though DSC understands that multiple teams were turned down from switching to Michelins due to the French manufacturer being unable to step up its effort enough to meet the demand. This weekend will go a long way in providing teams a chance to evaluate the situation, with the Michelins again looking quick over a single lap and the Dunlops being at their best over longer runs with the potential for double-stinting. |

Beyond the additional entries there are quite a few changes on the latest version of the entry. Despite some announced drivers still not appearing, we now have some others.
#37 JCDC - Ricky Taylor added! #39 Graff - Capillaire/Hirschi added as expected #62 Weathertech - Robert Smith and Toni Vilander added #78 Proton - Louis Prette added. Morris Chen removed as named driver #84 JMW - Jeff Segal added. Jonny Cocker removed as named driver as expected. EBI Motors also gone off the reserves. Any confirmation on that beyond not thinking they've got a chance from what was now 4th reserve? https://assets.lemans.org/explorer/p...-mans-2019.pdf |

I'm not the biggest ACO fan (as you probably know) but this is a very good decision. Kudos to the ACO for being pragmatic this time.

I agree, though I might add in a slightly grumpy manner that they have found a way to climb out of a hole they dug all by themselves: United should have had that second entry from the start. But the right decision in the end.

Cullen + Brundle + TBC in the second United Autosports entry.
https://www.unitedautosports.com/new...24-hours-entry I wonder whether they'll consider another big name like last year. |
