Dick Sahlén will start in the privateers cup this season in the BMW David Björk drove last season. On stcc.se it also sounds as Victor Huggare is confirmed for the privateers cup too, anyone know any more on this?

He owned two, but he sold one of them to a team in the German TCC (ADAC Procar). Don't remember who the buyer was though.

Ah, so he owned the other car as well. I knew the car he drove was sold to Germany, but not about the 2nd one.

He and his team built and raced both the cars, unfortunately without much any help from the manufacturer. Pretty dificult to reach the top with such such circumstances, but I assume the car might do pretty well in ADAC procar (the assumtion being that the general competitivness is a little lower there than W/B/STCC).

April 1st is the last day to register for the serie, so its drawing closer, after that they can only register on a race by race basis and wont be scoring any teams or makes points.

STCC.se reports that Frid is registered but waiting for the last sponsors to make up their mind before everything is compleat, he's not telling what car he'll be driving yet. So I guess that makes him more or less confirmed. No words yet if Johansson has registered too?

Fun to see Rosenblad not being that far off the pace in his '06 car. I really hope he can do good results in the races he will participate in. I also hope that Mattias Andersson can finally get the results he deserves!

At which team? He has a contract with Zakspeed to race in VLN and Ekris to do Dutch BMW 130i cup now.

Yeah, which both are 'sidejobs' for a driver of his caliber. I wouldn't have a clue where though, so I was hoping somebody here had heard of the rumor. A friend of mine was at the testday at Sturup, and he heard the name on several occasions. He doesn't speak Swedish though, so he only recognized the name and not the rest of the story.

Especially the BMW cup is something he shouldn't be in, but than again, the BMW cup shouldn't exist at all

He showed great stuff in Sweden before, so it's a mistery to me why the Swedes have so blind and not hire him before.

Adequate sponsoring is difficult to get from Swedish companies, even for Swedish drivers. Just look at Rydell, runer up in 2006 WTCC championship, barely second to Muller in the SEATs dispite of heaps of bad luck in the season, and still couldn't didn't even get a drive for 2007 WTCC.
