Tracy Krohn really is a poor driver. Endangering GTE-Pro drivers by cutting across them, oddly similar to what Mediani.

Usually I don't like Hindy's "backseat driver" approach to criticizing drivers, but that was a perfectly acceptable comment given the situation.

Campbell-Walter and Fisichella to the pits. Finally Mücke gets some time in the lead...

To be fair I believe there is a fundamental flaw of the Ferrari where looking in the mirror isn't trivial as compared to the Porsche, Aston, Vette, BMW. This car has been at the center of Numerous clashes with cars trying to get past for few years...

True... but Tracy Krohn just spun himself and nearly took out the leading Audi.

Hindy knows what's what - he raced in a club 6 hrs just a few weeks ago.

And now Mücke's in the pits. This will be interesting to see how this cycles out.

I'm looking forward to see a battle between two Porsches, two Audis, and two Toyotas. A bit of a lonely race in LMP1 and LMP2...

They aren't actually flashing those lights diabolically haha. Its the way LED's are picked up on normal cameras. Your recording at one rate and the LED controller is pulsing at another rate and everytime they're our of sync it looks like the lights have shut off but the reality is they are always on.

It's just the cameras. They often seem to flash on camera whenever I've filmed them live when I knew they weren't at the time.

The race has only just got dull recently. Plenty of incidents to talk about.

Here's a question. Would it really have costed much resources for Toyota to just run the second car in Le Mans spec? I know it would have been expensive to do all the spares for a updated second car but why didn't they run the Le Mans package like what Peugeot was doing?
I say this because It's as if they didn't even participate in the race. Alot of people didn't watch qualy or practice so would have seen this car run for half an hour...

Toyota has produced enough spare parts for two cars, since they are said to run the 2nd car in Fuji.

Need to remember that peugeot in 2011 didn't use exactly the same LM package for the post le mans races. It was however a low drag design but not the same LM package.

Shipping an extra car, an extra car's worth of spares, shipping and lodging an entire second crew ... for what?

If Toyota brass only cares about Le Mans and Fuji, why spend a penny more than needed elsewhere?

Possibly TMG would rather use the cash on hand to develop a car that might be around a few years instead of a car which will only be around a few races?

I suggest that all you outraged posters continue to refrain from buying Toyotas---show Toyota that there is a cost to Not racing as well

The funny thing is most people who buy a Toyota are completely unawares of any sort of racing that Toyota might be involved in. ESPECIALLY in America!!

Aside from NASCAR, not much of anyone knows of Toyota's racing activities unless they're die-hard motorsports fans. There's been a whole commentary on the car culture in America and the world at large, mostly stuff about 16 year olds seeing other things as more important than getting their drivers' license at the first opportunity and seeing cars more as transport than as a fun thing or a hobby.

But none the less, it's basically true that most people who buy cars don't do so because of what a company does in racing, but most buy cars for utility, safety, luxury, technology or performance. Sadly, racing helps foster developments in those areas.

Only an Audi driver would lose the rear tire, then catch it and bring it back. But ... why is an Audi losing a wheel?

Stupid system for Audi's headlamps. Why do they have to flash any time?
Even when they lap with three tires???
