The drivers are really getting to grips now. Thats a good result for Dixon, he isn't so keen on this track.

The only guys really far off the pace are Matsurro, Takagi and Sharp.

Some observations:
Very impressed with Herta's performance. I didn't expect that! Also, you have to be impressed with Barron, he came out of nowhere. Other top drivers looked good, Hornish, Dixon, Castroneves. Red Bull maybe a team to be reckoned with this year! Good mix of engines at the top, nobody being to dominant. Dallara totally dominant here though. Its only testing, but it could be showing us some of the new players and teams to watch. PS-Nice job guys! See you at Phoenix! Last edited by GP Racer; 29 Jan 2004 at 21:42. |

A report from the IPS test held yesterday is available here.
Good to see that Jesse Mason, who crashed during the test, could walk away unhurt. Also worth noting is that the SAFER barrier is now in place at Phoenix - can't remember if they had it installed already in time for the NASCAR race held there last year, but in any case it's good it's there. |

Today it's indycars turn!
Theoretically Gforce are expectd to catch up with the Dallara, because of their hazardous underfloor, who seem fit better the short ovals. Let's wait and see... |

ho-hum, quite a big difference from Homestead, with Dixon now being right up there among the fastest ones.

Alex Barron and Carpenter are way down right now. Really to early to tell, but could Homestead have been a fluke?
For the million dollar question, where is Greg Ray(again)? |
