Sascha and Lucas really want to move up and fight for overall wins. Sascha admitted that in his post race interview at Sebring.

Sascha (a factory Porsche driver) driving a Champion Audi would be a bit of a coup. lol

But don't see it. Sascha seems like a company man.

Good stuff from JJ Lehto. He really wanted to beat that 16 Dyson car. You could tell he wanted the battle. Still wanted to win of course, but wanted to beat someone for it.

The engine certainly went away, but I have heard three reasons why that car fell out of the 2001 (they also ran 2002 and finished fourth) 24 Hours of Daytona.

1. There was a misfire in the engine all week and it just let go.

2. A rock/large piece of debris went in the airbox and damaged the engine.

3. The engine was shifted down too quickly to avoid another car and it damaged it.

Whatever the result, I know it was one of the most powerful engine failures I have seen as far as smoke goes.

Well during the broadcast all that was said is that "That car will be around at the end, no question" again and again they repeated it.

I think sometimes its best not to say anything is a certainty.
