I have no info about it, but it could be Kaneishi again? He drove for RfH already. Let's see...

It's the World Cup draw tonight, I have had a look at the Schedule and I reckon that England need to be in Group C or D as that would mean that they play on the Friday of race week therefor not getting in the way of the race.

Just an early to note Hindy and Radio Le Mans can we have commentry on the game again as we did in 2002.....

England v Trinidad & Tobago will kick off at 5pm on Thrusday 15th June, so that doesn't clash with any track action.

I think you may be wrong!

5pm BST is 6pm in France. Support race qualifying will clash and the match will finish almost an hour into first Thursday qualifying........

The only game France play between Wednesday and Sunday is against South Korea which kicks of at 9pm (French time) on the Sunday evening.

Anyone know any coach companies doing trips to Le Mans for the whole week, rather than the traditional weekend deals?

There has in the past been a sports bar in the Place de la Republique on the opposite side to the Bar Moderne and the old Quick Burger and indeed the street that leads down to the Leg-End Cafe.

If you are going for the whole week, it would be much better to drive down. I had always taken the coach for the weekend, but 3 years ago started the drive down / camping route. It really turned out to be MUCH less hassle than i had always imagined. Dover - Calais in an hour, then 6 hr drive on the way down, arriving late tuesday afternoon. Get the tent up, then relax on wednesday before qualifying in the evening. I will NEVER go by weekend coach again.

Here are Eurosport International's listings for the 2006 LeMans. I hope nothing changes as this along with Eurosport 2's coverage will be one of the best.

Race: 15:15-19:00
20:45-23:15
18 June:

I will probably go to see Le Mans again this year.Last year was quite ok. I still miss so much the old LM-GTP cars as this days like everyone knows its the battle field of the prototypes. Anyway still looking highly what is coming up to the entries and also can someone destroy the Audi domination this year.I wish it would happen but I dont think it will going to happen.

When we were at LM in '04 we caught England v France at a little pizza place / bar in Mulsanne. Can't remember exactly where, but it's a little square near a church. Looking at Mapquest I'd say it's off Rue des Pins at Rue Des Genets.

This rumour has been around for a while now, but DSC has confirmed a 17:00 start for the 2006 Le Mans 24 hours.

I have just found the following Press Relese from the ACO http://www.lemans.org/mailing/2006_0...art_17h_gb.pdf

There will be two “Le Mans Legends” fields for two retrospective events under the banner “A.C.O Centenary Races.” In this the A.C.O’s centenary year 100 fabulous vehicles will be brought together split 50/50between the first race open to cars built before 1939 and the second for cars builtbetween 1945 and 1955. So two support races this year.

That's a shame. I'd hoped for a considerably more modern support race this year. Doubly disappointing since we had almost identical entry criteria last year (1935-1955)!!

The ACO need to realise many of the current spectators are kids of the 70/80's.

They want to see the cars they watched on TV as a kid.

Who under 65 is going to be slighty interested in these prehistoric cars?

Agreed. The Group C race in 2004 was spectacular, truly magnificent. The only saving grace for the spectators last year was Johnny Herbert. Seeing him throw his old D-Type sideways through every corner was very entertaining.

I thought I had read somewhere that the Grp C would be the support at this year's Le Mans again. Let's hope they invite them back for 2007.

I guess with the LM Historic three weeks later, it gives some of them extra testing on the full circuit before their race in July?
