Boy, it really went south for the Porsche GTs in a hurry didn't it. They were one two with the lead car two laps ahead and now they are 2-3 with the Mazda a full two laps ahead. Weird. Too bad the Camaro and BMW had problems as they were both really going well and would have made the finish very interesting.

Sounded like the NASCAR rules wheel spun and settled on 'Let them refuel and return, rather than their race was over.' Or is that just me not thinking the GA rule book is written in pen over pencil?

Nope they were shown on SPEED refueling off a cart in the parking lot on the backside of the track after being towed in.
The Stevenson interview showed everything that's wrong with prep 2 cars, talking about how long it took to make new body molds off a new Camaro. Although I guess that's not as wrong as hanging a BMW body on the GTO.R frame. |

The rules state that a car can only be fueled on pit lane unlessit has run out and permission is granted for fuel to be added. It was just off the backstretch and the car returned to the paddock through the infield and then to it's pit. It then topped off and returned to the race. Still lost 4 laps in the process....

The 01 has moved into the lead. You sort of had the feeling all night and all morning that the 01 has just been lurking and waiting to assume command of this race. Also Trembley is running solid lap times and looks secure unless something lets go.
